Chapter 759: Blaming Herself

At this moment, a group of students ran out of the cabin. Sun Dasheng looked carefully. Gao Yang was at the front, and behind him were Lin Yi, Yan Tian, and Si Yuehan.

Just as he was about to shout to stop them, he saw a few people running to the back of the boat like a swarm of bees. It turned out that the lifeguard had already swum back and everyone went forward to help.

Seeing this, Sun Dasheng swallowed his words and changed the topic. “Everyone, be careful. Stay away from the edge.”

The boys worked together to pull Guan Tao up before pulling the lifeguard up.

Because the back of the boat was narrow, Jian Ai and Qinghuan didn’t go forward.

After pulling them up, Gao Yang immediately hugged Guan Tao and carried her with a livid expression. He rushed towards the cabin, and the others quickly followed.

When they returned to the cabin, Gao Yang laid Guan Tao flat on the ground. Guan Tao was drenched, and her face was pale. Water kept flowing out of the corners of her mouth.

Some students were also frightened. They watched from the side and didn’t dare to say anything. They only revealed worried expressions.

Gao Yang pressed Guan Tao’s stomach twice. With each push, some lake water would flow out of her mouth. Then, he patted her face and called out in a low voice, “Guan Tao? Guan Tao?”

No reaction.

Gao Yang continued to press her stomach.

After pressing down a few more times, Guan Tao suddenly spat out a mouthful of lake water and coughed violently.

“She’s awake!”

“That’s great. I was so scared!”

“It’s good that you’re fine.”

When the students saw that Guan Tao finally reacted, they couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief.

Jian Ai quickly walked to her side and squatted down. She asked worriedly, “Tao Zi, how are you?”

After waking up, Guan Tao felt a chill run down her spine. Her entire body trembled, and even her lips were pale.

However, even so, she still forced a smile. “I’m fine. I accidentally fell down. I made you worry.”

At this moment, Jian Ai could only blame herself. If only she had insisted on accompanying her out for a breather just now. Why did she let her go out alone when she knew she was not in good condition today?

If something happened to Guan Tao because of this, she would not forgive herself.

As if seeing the emotions in Jian Ai’s eyes, Guan Tao gently held her hand and comforted her. “I’m fine. I just drank a lot of water.”

Jian Ai nodded with red eyes, but she couldn’t say a word. Huge fear surrounded her, making her hand tremble with Guan Tao’s body.

At this moment, Xia Qinghuan found a blanket from the staff and quickly wrapped Guan Tao up.

Because of this sudden incident, they had to return to the lake in advance.

However, the students had no complaints. Everyone knew that Guan Tao’s health was the most important.

When they returned to the hotel, Jian Ai asked the teacher and the boys to wait outside. She and Qinghuan helped Guan Tao change out of her wet clothes. Then, they helped her dry her body and her hair, adjusting the indoor temperature to the highest.

Only after Guan Tao lay on the bed and covered herself with the blanket, did Jian Ai let Sun Dasheng, Gao Yang, and the rest in.

When the hotel heard the news, they had already prepared ginger soup to ward off the cold. The doctors from the medical department in the scenic area also rushed over.

Everyone was worried about Guan Tao’s body, especially Gao Yang. He was extremely tense. From the moment he learned that the person who had fallen into the water was Guan Tao, until now, his expression was ashen.
