Chapter 758: Someone Fell Into the Water!

Seeing Guan Tao’s expression, it seemed that she didn’t want anyone to follow her. She had always been like this and didn’t like to cause trouble for others because of her. She was the same even to Jian Ai.

Seeing this, Jian Ai didn’t follow.

After leaving the observation cabin, the cold wind blew. Guan Tao immediately felt much more energetic, but her body could not help but tremble. She tightened her coat.

The temperature on the lake was lower than on the beach, but with the sun’s heat, there was still some warmth.

The wind at the bow of the boat was strong. Guan Tao went straight to the stern and faced the lake with her mouth slightly open. She took in the wind in big gulps. This would make her feel a little better and relieve the discomfort in her stomach.

Not long after, other students walked out of the observation cabin and went to the guardrail to take a look. Some students even brought cameras and took pictures with their backs to the lake.

Jian Ai looked at the time in the cabin. Guan Tao said that she would be back in two minutes, but it had been almost ten minutes, and she was not back yet.

She felt a little worried.

“I’ll go and see Tao Zi,” Jian Ai said to Xia Qinghuan.

Xia Qinghuan stood up as well. “Let’s go together.”

Unexpectedly, as soon as the two of them stood up, they heard a scream from outside the cabin. “Someone fell into the water!”

The roar of the cruise was loud, but this scream was like a thunderclap in their ears. The students in the cabin were shocked when they heard this, and Jian Ai ran out.

Xia Qinghuan regained her senses and quickly followed.

Sun Dasheng also rushed out immediately, but he told the other students in the cabin not to panic, let alone go out to join the commotion, to prevent an accident.

“Who fell into the water?”

“I don’t know…”

“You can fall into the water even with a guardrail?”

“There’s only one guardrail that reaches your waist. What if you slipped and fell under the guardrail?”

“Oh my, the protective measures of this cruise are not in place.”

The students started chattering. No one was in the mood to look at the scenery. They immediately tried to guess who had fallen into the water.

Outside the observation cabin, Jian Ai was the first to rush out. She saw a few students gathered at the back of the boat.

The lifeguard had already jumped down to save her, and the boat was temporarily anchored on the lake. Jian Ai squeezed into the crowd, but she didn’t see Guan Tao.

Her heart thumped.

“Jian Ai, Guan Tao fell down!” One girl saw Jian Ai and knew that they were usually the closest, so she told Jian Ai.

However, perhaps because she was frightened, the girl’s voice sounded like she was crying.

Not far away, a figure was splashing on the lake because of her desire to live. Jian Ai vaguely saw that the person in the lake was Guan Tao.

Jian Ai’s heart tightened, and her mind heated. She subconsciously wanted to jump into the lake to save Guan Tao.

Unexpectedly, someone behind her suddenly grabbed her arm. Xia Qinghuan’s voice suddenly sounded, “Xiao Ai, calm down!”

Jian Ai’s eyes were red, and she was stunned on the spot. Other students’ voices sounded in her ears.

“Jian Ai, don’t worry. The lifeguards have already jumped down to save her.”

“Yes, Jian Ai. She’ll be fine. Don’t worry!”

Xia Qinghuan walked to her side and looked at the lake worriedly. She said, “Don’t be rash. Tao Zi will be fine.”

The lifeguard had gradually swam to where Guan Tao had fallen into the water. Seeing this, Jian Ai gradually calmed down.

Her mind was blank just now, and she had no ability to think.

Sun Dasheng had already ordered the other students to return to the cabin, but Jian Ai acted as if she did not hear him. She kept watching as the lifeguard saved Guan Tao and swam towards the cruise.
