Guan Tao widened her eyes in surprise when she heard that. She suddenly felt amused and said, “Advertisement? What if I casually picked up the flyer on the street? Are you so sure that you came over?”

“I’m not sure,” Gao Yang answered calmly, “So I came over to try my luck.”

Looking at Gao Yang’s indifferent and righteous appearance, Guan Tao’s heart warmed, but she smiled helplessly.

He was always like this. He was very intelligent, but he always did things that surprised her.

If he wanted to look for her, he could have just asked. Why would he come over to try his luck based on a flyer? What if she was not around? Wouldn’t he have made a wasted trip?

Gao Yang seemed to have seen through Guan Tao’s thoughts and blurted, “This is a surprise!”

Guan Tao: “…”

Gao Yang retracted his gaze from Guan Tao and slowly looked around the shop. It was clean and tidy, and there was a unique fragrance from the hamburger shop.

Seeing this, Guan Tao couldn’t help but ask, “Do you want to eat something? Our burgers are delicious!”

She thought Gao Yang would refuse, but he nodded. “Alright.”

“Then sit inside.” Guan Tao was delighted. She pulled Gao Yang to an empty seat and sat down. “Wait a moment.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she turned around and went to the counter.

“Tao Zi!”

At this moment, a slightly plump woman in her thirties suddenly appeared beside Guan Tao, scaring her.

“Oh, Boss, you scared me.” Guan Tao patted her chest, looking shocked.

This person was Mr. Burger’s boss, and her husband was the chef in this shop, Mr. Burger himself.

The boss noticed what had happened as soon as Gao Yang entered, but she was too far away to hear Guan Tao and Gao Yang. She couldn’t help but ask curiously, “A friend is looking for you?”

Guan Tao nodded in understanding.

“It’s your boyfriend, right?” the boss asked again.

Guan Tao blushed, but she still nodded.

“He’s quite handsome. Not bad, Tao Zi!” The boss smiled and said, “Order a set meal for him. It’s my treat!”

When Guan Tao heard this, she quickly shook her head. “No need, Boss. I’ll pay you.”

“Child, you’ve been working here for so long. Can I still charge you for a set meal? Be obedient!” the boss said.

Guan Tao could only agree. “Thank you, Boss.”

Gao Yang sat not far away, his gaze never leaving Guan Tao until she walked towards him with a plate.

“This is our shop’s signature meal. It’s on the boss. She didn’t charge us.” Guan Tao placed the plate in front of Gao Yang and sat opposite him.

Gao Yang looked down. The set meal was very simple. There was a burger, a set of fries, a pair of chicken wings, and a drink.

“Try it. It’s all freshly made. It’s delicious when it’s hot.” Guan Tao looked at Gao Yang and raised her eyebrows.

Gao Yang nodded and picked up the burger to open the packaging. He took a bite. The chicken cutlet inside was juicy and slightly spicy. Coupled with the lettuce balls, freshly baked bread, and the special salad dressing, it was very delicious.

Gao Yang was a little surprised. It was a pure surprise for the delicious burger. He seemed to understand why there were customers in the shop at this time.

“How is it? It’s delicious, right?” Guan Tao looked at Gao Yang expectantly.

Gao Yang was not stingy with his praise and said bluntly, “It’s not inferior to any restaurant I eat at!”
