The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 2647 – Phantom! Sudden Strike (Chapter 1)

Ch. 2647: Phantom! Sudden Strike (1)

On this day, Phantom was nally ready to make some moves.

Shen Yanxiao hurriedly decided to give the devils a hard blow with their six-member group, Phantom.

No one knew about this matter apart from Xiu.

Xiu did not stop Shen Yanxiao’s decision. He believed in her judgment and strength. Since both of them

had promised to walk hand in hand forever, naturally, he should fully trust his lover.

Shen Yanxiao, together with Qi Xia and the others, quietly left The Rising Sun City.

Shen Yanxiao had nothing to worry about with Xiu in charge.

This time, their goal was very clear: the troops that were separated from the main devil army in the

Barren Land were their target.

You killed my city lords, then I’ll kill your commanders. See if you can kill them all, before I kill all your

commanders.

In terms of individual combat strength, except for Satan and the twelve devil generals that gave them

some scruples, the six members of Phantom didn’t put any other demons in their eyes at all.

In just a few days, Shen Yanxiao found their target.

The devil army had divided into thirteen units, with Satan commanding the largest unit; the rest of the

army was spread towards other areas in the Barren Land. Scenes of war could be seen everywhere.

This devil army was attacking the rst medium-sized city in the Barren Land. Roaring demon beasts kept

pounding at the city gate while the soldiers in the city were defending it to their death.

Ladders were pulled to the edge of the city walls by demons clad in iron armor. More and more devils

mounted the ladders, carrying tough-looking shields.

The sound of artillery could be heard all the time, and arrows fell like rain.

After several battles, the devils had gured out the defense strategies of the cities in the Barren Land.

With artillery and arrows, they targeted the commander in the distance; while using magic attacks, they

consumed the enemies around the city walls. Breaking through the Barren Land cities was far from as

simple as they had imagined it would be. Hence, the equipment of the devil soldiers, demons, and demon

beasts had been completely replaced. All the members of the devil army were now covered with tough

iron armor, and ordinary arrows would have diculty shooting through; only artillery and magic attacks

could cause a huge blow to them.

Although the artillery was quite ferocious, its range was xed. Once the enemy got out of the range of the

artillery, they could no longer be attacked.

After a long time of ghting, the devils had mastered the range of the artillery. Furthermore, the artillery

was heavy; it took a period of time to change its aim, and the devils took advantage of this time to

constantly advance their teams.

The whole city was now heavily surrounded by devils. Though the heavy iron gate was still standing,

cracks had started appearing on that gate.

The soldiers in the city stood by sternly. Once the gate was broken, they could only give up guarding the

city.

However, no one would give up so easily. This was their home and the city they had built bit by bit. Once

they chose to retreat, they must destroy the whole city with their own hands.

Destroy their home.

“City lord, the devils have already climbed the wall to the east.” The nervous soldier said with a tight face.

They had failed to defend the city wall. Although it was impossible for the devil soldiers to enter the city

on a large scale, it was enough to bring nightmares to the whole city.

In the sky, ying magical beasts and demon beasts kept colliding and tearing each other apart, so that the

whole sky was lled with blood that fell like rain.

The city lord guarding the city was depressed.

Did they really have to retreat?

Did they really have no choice but to give up?

After scanning the familiar terrain, the city lord felt so distressed that he almost suocated.

“Get everyone ready to withdraw into the underground passage at any time.” Faced with a ood of devil

soldiers, the city lord had to give up.
