The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 1492 – The First Battle (Chapter 4)

Chapter 1492 – The First Battle (4)

The armies of Lan Yue Dynasty and Seven Kingdoms had been caught unprepared; they hurriedly fled toward the

rear.

Other soldiers were stunned while looking at the scene before their eyes. As the enemy retreated, the Del City

artillery attack continued without giving them any chance of escape.

The fragments of the explosion, and the flaming kerosene all around, had become the sickle of the God of Death as

this mad reaper took lives one after another.

The allied forces of the four countries could only watch as the armies of the two countries were killed and wounded

under the mad chase of artillery fire.

“Damn it! Bring me the siege weapon and blow this broken city into ruins!” Qu Xun violently tugged at the deputy’s

collar.

No one had thought that the city they had been informed beforehand; how could an empty city suddenly launch a

fierce counterattack?

This one oversight, due to the negligence of Elder Wen and Qu Xun, directly led to the death of more than 10,000

people.

More than 10,000 people, for the huge four-nation alliance, was like a drop in the ocean. After the first moment of

shock, the four countries simultaneously issued the command to attack!

But what made them vomit blood even more was that in the Del City, except for the more than 70 artillery, not even

the shadow of a person could be seen. Furthermore, all the artillery were under excellent protection. If the fournation alliance wanted to destroy them, they had to first destroy the walls built with obsidian!

The toughness of obsidian had made the four countries mad.

Without targets on sight, it was simply no use for Archers and Magicians to launch an attack.

The melee Swordsmen and Knights could not even get close to the city wall. As long as they dared to step a bit

closer, they would be bombarded into meat paste in the next second.

Now, the only thing they could rely on was the siege weapon!

The siege weapon was extremely huge and required a heavyweight magical beast to drag it.

The four countries had gathered about thousands of siege weapons in this war, and attacking those artillery with

these siege weapons was the best choice.

More than a thousand siege weapons had soon surrounded Del City, and intensive projectiles crazily attacked the

inside and outside of Del City.

The volume of the siege weapons was not comparable to any artillery’s. And the size of its projectile was even

bigger!

More than a thousand siege weapons were operating at the same time. Such an attack was definitely a nightmare.

The sound of explosions roared like thunder; a shell slammed into the wall of Del City, yet it did not leave even an

iota of a trace behind.

The walls that Shen Yanxiao had spent heavily on… this one attack displayed their extraordinary value!!!

Two teams were confronting each other, the flames radiated all around, and the deafening sound of gunfire was

simply unbearable.

The attack range of the siege weapons was almost the same as that of the artillery, and all of the four-nation alliance

were hiding behind these siege weapons.

Within the Del City, Yao Ji, who was responsible for the counterattack, squinted her pair of phoenix eyes, and

examined the other side’s attack through this one probing attack.

“We can’t beat them.” Yao Ji sighed and leaned against Du Lang.

The first line of defense in Del City was the responsibility of both of them.

Du Lang frowned slightly and said, “I didn’t expect the four countries to give us so much face, they actually sent so

many siege weapons. As long as there are siege weapons, we can’t cause any death or injury to them.”

Yao Ji bit her lips and squinted her eyes once again at those huge siege weapon

“I would like to see how many of these siege weapons they have to wear out against us! Tell all the demons,

immediately switch their targets to those siege weapons. Be sure to smash a few of them before this Del City is

destroyed!”
