Chapter 761: Call the Police

When she thought about Guan Tao’s words, goosebumps covered her body and spread from her thigh to her cheek.

Someone pushed her down…

“Are… are you sure?” Jian Ai asked again with a serious expression.

No one thought it wasn’t accidental. Because Guan Tao couldn’t sleep or rest well and was seasick, Jian Ai always thought that she fell down because she was dizzy.

Unexpectedly, she said that someone pushed her down.

Guan Tao nodded gently. “I’m very sure. When my shoelaces were undone, I squatted down to tie my shoelaces. The guardrail was above my head. Then, someone pushed me from behind. I pounced forward and fell from the boat.”

Although Guan Tao was having a fever, her narration was very clear, and her tone was firm.

Moreover, one would rather believe such a thing than not. If what Guan Tao said was true, the person who pushed her into the lake wanted her dead.

“Could it be Li Yunmei?”

Xia Qinghuan immediately guessed. After all, Li Yunmei had a history. She was the one who pushed Jian Ai into the artificial lake in school.

Jian Ai denied it. “She was in the cabin. I saw her.”

Jian Ai could not figure it out. Guan Tao was usually a person of few words in school and only played with them. She had almost no interactions with other students, let alone any conflicts.

Who would push her off the boat for no reason?

“Did you see who that person was?” Jian Ai asked.

However, she knew that if she saw the other party’s appearance, she would have said it.

As expected, Guan Tao shook her head gently. “When I lost balance, I fell into the lake after two seconds. All I saw was lake water. I couldn’t see anything.”

“Xiao Ai, let’s call the police?” Qinghuan said worriedly, “This is considered a criminal case, right?”

Jian Ai also felt that she should call the police. After all, the nature of this matter was terrible. Just thinking about it made her feel afraid.

What if that person was after Guan Tao? If this failed, would there be a next time?

“Forget it.” Guan Tao suddenly said with a difficult expression, “I don’t want to ruin everyone’s autumn trip because of me. If we call the police, the matter will blow up and delay the subsequent arrangements.”

Guan Tao was such a person. No matter what, she tried her best to reduce her presence and was unwilling to trouble others because of her.

However, this was no small matter. Jian Ai would not let it go easily. If the person who pushed Guan Tao off the boat did it on purpose, it meant that the person was after Guan Tao. There might be a second time.

“Tao Zi, we have to call the police. Listen to me,” Jian Ai said seriously.

Qinghuan nodded as well. “That’s right. Because we don’t know who pushed you. If we don’t call the police to investigate the truth, what if he attacks you again?”

She was lucky enough to escape this time. What about next time?

Faced with her friends’ concerns, Guan Tao eventually nodded and agreed to call the police.

Xia Qinghuan told Sun Dasheng about this immediately. When Sun Dasheng learned of this, he was extremely shocked. He immediately called the Public Security Bureau in Liyang County.

After receiving the police report, the police rushed to the resort within an hour to understand the situation.

Because there were no surveillance cameras on the cruise, the police could only ask the students outside the cabin one by one to see if they could find any evidence.
