With such a huge discount, how could Yunmei still have the cheek to try the dishes? Although testing the dishes was a basic process, time was indeed tight.

“It’s only a few days before the eighth. I still have a lot of things to do, so I can’t spare time,” Wang Yunmei added.

Manager Liu didn’t insist. He only smiled and nodded. “Alright, leave everything to us. We’ll make sure to satisfy you.”

That night, because of this, Wang Yunmei and Wang Yunzhi specially went to Wang Yunzhong’s house.

After so many years, this was the first time Wang Yunmei and her sister had visited Wang Yunzhong’s house.

“I just entered the house and haven’t changed my clothes, but you’re already here.”

When he saw the two of them, Wang Yunzhong, who had just returned from work, greeted them warmly, “Come in quickly. Dad and Mom are at home.”

The two of them changed into slippers and entered the living room. They saw Old Master Wang sitting on the sofa and called out at the same time. “Dad.”

Old Master Wang was making tea. When he heard this, he looked up and answered calmly. Compared to before, his expression had softened.

Obviously, for the sake of his elder son, the old man could be more flexible. Compared to the old lady, he was much smarter.

As soon as the two of them sat down, the old lady in the kitchen walked out. As soon as she saw them, she pulled a long face and complained, “You’re used to picking the time, so you came during mealtime. You could have come half an hour earlier. I’ve already prepared the meal, but I didn’t include your share.”

“Mom!” Wang Yunzhong was unwilling when he heard that. He immediately looked at the old lady and frowned. “Are you lacking food at home? Aren’t there any rice or vegetables? Can’t you bring out a dinner for two?”

When the old lady saw her son was going against her because of her two daughters, she immediately glared at him. “You’re not the one cooking. I’ve already steamed the rice. Do you want me to steam it again?”

Wang Yunzhong wanted to say something, but Wang Yunmei’s voice interrupted calmly and indifferently. “Brother, Yunzhi and I finished eating outside and came over. There’s no need to let Mom busy herself.”

Wang Yunzhi turned her head away angrily. It would be a lie to say that her heart did not turn cold. The old lady was getting overboard.

Ever since her brother’s attitude towards them changed, this old lady seemed to find them more and more unpleasant to the eye.

Wang Yunmei ignored the old lady and looked at Wang Yunzhong. “Brother, I’ve booked the wedding banquet today. The boss of the hotel is an acquaintance I’ve known for many years when I was at Yaochi. He gave me a huge discount. Take a look.”

As she spoke, Wang Yunmei took out the details of the meal from her Hermes bag and handed it to Wang Yunzhong.

Wang Yunzhong took it and opened it. He said embarrassedly, “Xiao Mei, it’s been hard on you these few days. You’ve been helping Brother so much, and you even got an acquaintance to give a discount. Brother will give you a big red packet later.”

Wang Yunmei smiled and said nothing or refused.

There were eighteen dishes for the 10,888 yuan meal. Lobsters, abalones, sea cucumbers, and so on were all available. It looked like there were enough dishes. Because it was a second marriage, the Wang family didn’t invite too many people. Instead, Wang Yunzhong had more business friends, so they booked twelve tables. Including alcohol and other miscellaneous fees, it was about a hundred thousand yuan in total.

This was naturally not a lot of money for Wang Yunzhong, who was already worth over ten million yuan, but it was not cheap either.
