“It’s been solved perfectly! Thank you so much, professor!”

She voiced out her gratitude to the man.

His unconditional support was truly instrumental in swiftly ridding this company of leeches.

“Ha ha! If you really want to thank me, then come visit me in Harvard.” He smiled and winked at her.

“Okay, professor. When I’m done with this, I’ll visit you in Harvard!”

She nodded smilingly.

“Oh, Hani! My dear, won’t you consider furthering your studies in Harvard?” Hearing her reply, he brought up this idea again.

As she saw his hopeful expression, she shook her head apologetically.

“Professor, how many times have I said it already? I really can’t go to Harvard.”

Although she once dreamed of studying at Harvard, after going through so much, she was keener to stay in the country and grow herself here.

“Sigh! That’s such a pity. Hani, you have no idea how likeable you are.” He felt listless when she rejected his invitation again.

His listless look piqued her interest.

She had always been curious on why this professor liked her so much.

Even if she were talented, her IQ was nowhere near that of his other students.

“Professor, I’ve been meaning to ask this. What exactly do you like about me?”

She blinked curiously.

“Ha ha! Of course, it’s your intelligence and talent. You’re like a sponge that can absorb anything I teach you.”

He laughed openly, his face full of admiration.

“I’m not that smart, though. I’m just more diligent than others,” she calmly refuted. She did not lose her head just because of his high praise.

“It’s true that a person’s talent and IQ are important, but no matter how smart one is, it’s nothing if he doesn’t consistently work hard.” He smiled at her before seriously saying, “Besides, Hani, you’re not as weak as you think you are.

“In my eyes, you are perhaps the girl that can make miracles.”

She never expected him to hold her in such high regard.

Make miracles?

In an instant, she was a little lost.

She was just one ordinary person in a sea of people; what miracles could she make?

“I really don’t want your talent to go to waste. It’s true that you’re quite ordinary now, but that’s only because you grew up in an ordinary environment, and you haven’t been able to unleash your potential.

“Haven’t you realized how strong you’ve grown since you became the CFO of that new company?

“Haven’t you realized how much you’ve improved when compared to your past self? Do you still think that you’re the same as you were before?”

She froze after she heard this.

She really had changed a lot – from the uneasiness she felt when she first got to this company to the bold changes she was putting in place now.

The biggest change of all was her mindset.

In the past, she disguised herself to look formidable and strong, and that made her uneasy and uncertain, but after the meeting today, she only felt excitement!

She really liked this feeling.

“Hani, no matter when, don’t underestimate yourself. In my eyes, you’re one of the best students I’ve had the privilege to know,” he said gently, smiling at her.

She smiled at that. What did she do to deserve such a great teacher?

She was truly lucky to have met this old man.

“Pfft! Professor, if I’m one of the best students, then who are the others?” she asked; a shy and curious smile was on her face.

She was really curious about this.

“Ha ha! You’ve seen the others.” He was happy to see how open she had gotten to him.

“Oh, it’s Abby and the rest!” She nodded.

“Yup, but I have another student that you haven’t met,” he said, smiling a little mysteriously.

His secretive behavior caught her interest.

She was truly curious about that Chinese man called Egger; she had never seen him online.

From what Abby and the others had said, this man seemed quite formidable, but he was often busy and did not have much time to visit their website.

“Speaking of which, I originally thought that we have affinity because of Egger.”

She blinked in confusion upon hearing that.

“Professor, what does your affinity with me have to do with him?”

She did not even know who that man called Egger was.

“Egger once spoke of a girl similar to you in some respects, and her English name is also Hani, so I just extended my affections to you when I first saw you.”

That made her freeze.

A thought flashed through her head, but before she could catch it, the man spoke again.

Seeing her space out, he mistakenly thought that she had been offended by his words, so he added to his earlier words with a warm smile on his face.

“Of course, I would still be fond of you without Egger.”

She pouted in exasperation. “Professor, I’m not that petty!”

After chatting with him for a while, she shut down her laptop with a smile on her face.

In a good mood, she grabbed her laptop and left the room with a pep in her step while humming a song.

Ha ha! Today is a great day, but why does that Egger give me a sense of familiarity?
