Rise of the Great Emperor Chapter 205: Examination Grounds (Chapter 4)

Chapter 205: Examination Grounds (4)

All of them took the test that was simply comparable to their current rank and didn’t even bother to try the next level. After all, they wanted to keep low profile.

Hehe, low profile…

Many people were already paying attention to them, though.

“They didn’t even reach more than what their rank is.”

“Well, suit themselves. Probably just some low people who are having too much confidence in their hands.”

“Yeah, they’re not suitable for this test.”

*crack *crack*

Fan Ling massaged her knuckles while looking at the boys with arched eyebrows. It seemed that there were a lot of people who were itching for a beating. She didn’t mind accompanying them, though. Her body was stiff after not able to unleash her real ability in the test just now, so she wanted to test her power in them.

Lin Yun quickly stopped Fan Ling before she could start her wrath. “Hey, hey, there’s still the theory test. In addition, we can change the ranking by challenging those above us after the theory test.”

“Oh?” Fan Ling arched her eyebrows. Her lips curled up to form a beautiful smile. “In that case, I must prepare myself thoroughly. The test must be very fun.”

Fun?

Lin Xiao was sure that Fan Ling would remember their names and tried to challenge them. Now that they were talking about Fan Ling, he recalled that there was also that pretty woman whom Fan Ling had quarrel with. It seemed that there were simply too many people in the place for them to find that person.

‘Did she also join Sun Dragon Academy?’

Not everyone has to join this academy.

Looking around for some more, Lin Xiao chose to drop the matter and entered the large hall. The hall was located near the gate and also the location where the written test would take place. As they walked closer, they all could see some other students walking not far from them.

“They’re?”

“Your seniors,” Teacher Su Luo said with a shrug. “They’re also having their test today.”

“We have written test each year?” a student asked in doubtful tone. It was truly a hassle for them to have written test each year because it meant that they couldn’t even slack in their study in the slightest bit.

Teacher Su Luo sneered, knowing what was inside their mind. “Aside from the first year, you can take the test anytime. Don’t worry, as long as you can pass the theory test once, you won’t have to repeat it again.”

The students behind her all nodded their head. Hopefully the test was not that hard.

However, Lin Xiao could see the disdain in Teacher Su Luo’s eyes when she was looking at the row of students who passed by them. He wondered whether this teacher really loved to look down on others or what. Her gaze was sometimes a bit disturbing.

“We’re here. Get in and do your test.”

Looking at the numerous row of seats, Lin Xiao randomly picked the empty seats and the other eight sat around him as if forming a barrier. Some others looked in their direction but said nothing before they picked a seat on their own.

No one wanted to create trouble on this day.

The teacher came and distributed the paper through his Qi. Looking at the floating paper, Lin Xiao had a mixed feeling as he began to write.

‘I didn’t know you can control your Qi until it can be used to lift something so light like paper.’

Lin Hu was speechless. ‘You’re thinking about that?’

‘Well, it’s amazing.’

‘FOCUS on your test!’

Lin Xiao pursed his lips and looked at the test sheet. He filled the first page easily since the others had helped him crammed the basic knowledge. After a few pages, Lin Xiao couldn’t even understand what the paper was asking anymore.

He glanced at the title from each page and realized that it told them the test they have to take. Basic etiquette, intermediate, advance, and master. Aside from herbs, which he managed to answer until master since he was quite familiar with them and their properties, he could only answer up to intermediate at most. Even then, many were still blank.

‘What in the world is this test?’

Lin Xiao wanted to howl in desperation. How come someone would be able to remember the position one had to remember in the ritual that only occurred whenever there was new Emperor? He never learned that? Also, what it meant that the medicine failed through this method? It should have been correct!

The one in medicine was not that hard since Lin Xiao had already taught by Lin Yun in the past. However, there were many medicine that was unfamiliar to him.

When it came to beasts, he could only recognize those that he had met and some that he had seen the picture. The result from cramming in the library was proven to be quite useful in the test.

And then, there was also the art test….

Lin Xiao couldn’t draw, couldn’t make poetry, and definitely couldn’t write a song.

He was speechless when he saw that he couldn’t even fill the first page. While begrudging, Lin Xiao just filled what he could and left the rest empty.

“Time’s up.”

‘Eh? There’s timer?’

Lin Hu looked at Lin Xiao with disbelief. ‘Do you really think that they will give you forever for you to figure out the answer?’

Lin Xiao shrugged. He had already answered all that he knew anyway.

The teacher only needed to scan the papers with his Qi for a moment. Countless information floated to him, but it didn’t faze him in the slightest bit. He pointed out. “Your result are out.”

“Let’s go and see it!”

“Come on!”

The students were all excited to see how they would fare. Looking at the name at the very front, many sighed.

1. Lin Hong

2. Princess Lan Xiao Yue.

3. …

“Damn, they’re not only good at martial arts but also knowledge!”

“Ugh.”

Lin Xiao glanced at the last row and sighed. As he had thought….
