Provocative Fiery Wife: My Superior is a Affectionate Spitfire Chapter 1174 – The kid was pushed down by his mother!

Chapter 1174: The kid was pushed down by his mother!

“Mommy, you’re so cool!”

Pei Ge was about to eat her porridge when the boy sitting beside her stuck his head over.

Seeing his adorable face peeking at her, she laughed and patted his head.

“I really like mommy!”

The boy’s bright eyes were looking at her as though he were seeing her properly for the first time.

“Cough!”

The child’s idolizing gaze caused her to want to speak, but Mister Ji’s cough stopped her from doing so.

Everybody turned to look at him at this.

“…”

However, after doing that, he acted as if nothing had happened and merely shifted his gaze between the woman and the child wordlessly.

“Grandpa, are you ill?”

Seeing his grandfather looking at him without blinking, the child asked in a cutesy yet confused voice.

“…”

He did not get a reply, though.

“Pfft! Grandson, your grandpa isn’t ill; he’s just full of vinegar!”

Knowing her husband well, Madam Ji laughed at his display of jealousy.

“Huh? Vinegar? Our breakfast doesn’t have vinegar, though?”

The child tilted his head and looked at his grandmother innocently.

“Aiyo! My precious one! You’re too cute!”

If the child was not sitting very far from her, he would surely be hugged and kissed fiercely by his grandmother.

“Your grandpa is jealous because you said that Miss Regina is cool!”

As she said that, she looked at her husband smilingly. “Ho ho! Why are you being jealous like a child?”

“…What nonsense are you saying?”

When his wife revealed his inner thoughts, the man coughed lightly again.

“What’s the use of pretending?” She looked at her husband with some amusement before blinking at the child. “Grandson, quick; praise your grandpa, or else he’ll cry!”

The moment the child heard that, he blinked and smiled at his grandfather.

“Grandpa is the most dashing! I love grandpa the most!”

His naïve and cute voice melted everybody’s hearts instantly.

Even the old man, who rarely smiled at his grandson, could not help but smile.

“Aiyo! Grandma’s good grandson! Come and praise grandma quickly!”

“Grandma is the prettiest! Baby loves grandma a lot!”

“My good grandson, grandma loves you the most, too!”

Seeing this warm and happy image, Pei Ge let out a bright smile. However, the thought of how Qiao Jingyun had treated this child replaced her smile with a frown.

She could not let that woman do this to the child. She had to do something for him…

The meal ended quickly amid this warm and lighthearted atmosphere.

After having breakfast, she did not hang out with the boy and, instead, looked for his father alone.

“Come with me.”

Having never set foot into this villa before, she was unfamiliar with the place and only brought the man to a secluded corner.

The man merely obediently followed her from behind without speaking.

“Sir, there’s something that I should tell you.”

She turned around and her nose hit the chest of the man following her from behind when she stopped walking without warning.

“Wuuu!” She gripped her painful nose and moaned.

“Are you all right?”

Ji Ziming frowned and looked at her before covering her hand with his.

The two’s ambiguous position appeared intimate.

“You, keep some space between us.”

She flung his hand away and took a step back.

Seeing her do that, he could not help but think of the past he had with Pei Ge…

It seemed that dumb woman would bump into him often in the past, too…

“Cough, cough, cough!”

When the man appeared to be distracted while staring at her, she coughed and brought him back to reality.

“What do you want to discuss with me?”

He looked at her lightly, but behind his calm expression was a hint of regret.

“It’s that…”

Seeing her red lips move, his eyes darkened.

A ridiculous yearning rose in his heart—one which he had never experienced before.

Just as he was looking forward to what she wanted to tell him…

“It’s about your son.”

The man immediately felt disappointed upon hearing that.

It turned out that it was not about him but his son, instead.

“Hey! Are you listening to me?”

At his disinterest in what she had just said, she was angered.

“Yes, I’m listening.” The man looked at her. “What do you want to say about Ji Chi?”

Hearing him saying the boy’s name without any hint of affection, she frowned in reproach.

His attitude toward the child was just like his expression; Ji Ziming truly did not like the boy.

Everyone, including this man’s fiancée, addressed the child affectionately, yet as the boy’s biological father, Ji Ziming only called him by his name.

Furthermore, he addressed the boy by his full name…

This was way too odd.

“Aren’t you concerned about your son at all…”

She frowned at him. “From what I see, you don’t care about your son. Are you really his father?”

“…”

Her words rendered the man without words.

Seeing him keeping silent, she got even angrier.

“Forget it; forget it. Let’s just put this matter aside and not talk about it further.

“I only want to tell you that your son didn’t fall from the windowsill by accident but because… his biological mother pushed him down.”
