She looked on indifferently at his back. He was always a loner, and when will he ever start to live a life like a normal person?

“How do you know I’m here?” He simply glanced back, before training his sight onto the road.

Aside from Xiang Jinxi’s car, four people had alighted from each of the cars as they started searching the place.

Yan Se could no longer be bothered as she walked to his front and started packing up for him, and dragged him away by the arm.

“You think you can have your revenge now? You’re out of your depth!”

She was grateful that she had changed her mind earlier, and continued to stealthily follow him, or else he would simply be throwing himself to the lion’s den!

The two quickly made their way through the forest. As the scorching sun shone on, Yan Se did not stop as she endured the pain in her leg as she continued to run.

Lu Bai suddenly stopped, with her in tow.

Yan Se’s face was slightly drenched in sweat, panting hard. She had not moved this much for a long while now, and were taking big, deep breaths by the tree.

“I’m worn out as well, let’s take a break. They should not be able to find this place that soon!”

Her leg had not healed completely, and the sudden burst of activity today finally made it hurt again.

Lu Bai kept his rifle and his handsome face had reddened by the hot temperature. His eyes slowly went from Yan Se’s face down to her injured leg.

There were many plants in the forest, and quite a few of them had sharp leaves or thorns, and lines of red scars now appeared on her fair thighs.

He took out a handkerchief and passed it to her, “Wipe you face.”

Yan Se was totally worn out and simply wiped her face as she took the handkerchief, before letting it down.

He actually learned how to care for people!

The pain of the wounds were rather sharp, and Yan Se frowned and gasped in pain.

Lu Bai gave her wounds a simple dressing, before getting up and looking at her, his eyes cold.

“You knew that when you followed me, there would be danger, and you came in a skirt.”

“I’m still recovering, and the doc said not to bind my wounded leg.” She pretended to smile, “Alright, let’s go, we need to get away from here.”

“Wait up,” Lu Bai bent down, as he picked up the bullets and rifle from the ground and passed it to her, “Take them, I’ll carry you.”
