She thought he was watching a movie, but it turned out that he was doing work-related reading, and on a weekend no less.

She put down the fruit platter and picked up a small fork in the plate. “What would you like to have?”

When Huo Yunting heard her voice, he flexed his fingers that were resting on the keyboard and started typing.

“I’ll have them all.”

Lu Zhaoyang brought a grape to his lips and watched as he slowly opened his mouth.

He chewed on the fruit but said nothing else.

That was alright. At least he did not reject her like before.

She remembered how lifeless he was back in the morgue and shuddered inside.

Slowly but surely, he finished all the fruits in the plate.

Lu Zhaoyang quietly put her finger near his lips. When Huo Yunting took a bite, he realised that he was biting her finger.
