The Heretic grinned and answered, “The answer is simple. If you weren’t Yan Han’s enemy or adversary, your powers would have placed you among the man’s guest list. Since you’re not Yan Han’s guest and you’re not revealing your identity, you’d then be most likely here to seek revenge.”

“Guess we’re on the same side then. I indeed have scores to settle with Yan Han.”

Lu Xuan was slightly surprised. The Heretic’s explanation was simple, and his logic made sense.

Even so, it was still hard to determine all of that within such a short amount of time.

He did not bother stopping what the disciple of the Taichu Path was trying to do against Lu Xuan as well. If Lu Xuan was unable to fend off such an intense attack, then the Heretic would’ve never deemed him worthy of being an ally.

Then again, Lu Xuan clearly knew what the Heretic was up to. He passed the Heretic’s test with flying colors.

Lu Xuan smiled and asked, “Let’s head inside, shall we?”

He was seen lifting his hand right away afterward. The aura in him gushed like a torrent and engulfed his surroundings.

As his Dragonslayer sword was unsheathed, dark clouds began to gather in the sky above.

A lightning dragon was vaguely seen in the clouds. It seemed to have been materialized in a second, its massive body swimming around in the clouds.
