Chapter 95: What Did You Say?!

FengJiu woke up and it was already evening.

She turned her head and saw MinFeng sleeping on a chair beside her and his head was on the bed.

She could not help but raise her hand and stroke his hair.

MinFeng stirred and woke up.

“You’re awake?”

MinFeng wanted to stand up and go outside to call the doctor but FengJiu pulled his hand, stopping him.

She shook her head and smiled.

“I’m fine. No need to call the doctor.”

FengJiu moved to the side and pat the bed. She wanted MinFeng to sleep beside her.

“Come here.”

MinFeng removed his shoes and lied down beside her. He pulled FengJiu in his embrace and kissed her forehead.

“H-how is he?”

FengJiu tried to control her tears.

MinFeng raised her head and stared at her.

“He’s okay for now… but… the next heart attack will be fatal.”

FengJiu’s eyes shook. She took a deep breath and nodded.

“Where is he?”

“The room next door.”

MinFeng brushed the hair from her face. He smiled while touching her cheeks.

“It’s okay. Yeye is a strong man.”

FengJiu tried to smile but she couldn’t. She could only bury her head in his chest and nod.

Seeing her like this, MinFeng could not help but be worried.

But what can he do?

The woman he loved was in pain but the only thing he could do was to be with her.

If only he had a way to lessen her pain.

MinFeng tightened his embrace.

Few minutes later, FengJiu raised her head and looked at him.

“I want to see him.”

MinFeng nodded. He carried her out of the bed and placed her on a wheelchair.

FengJiu’s body was weak. She couldn’t find the strength to walk. MinFeng wanted to carry her but she refused. She knew he was also tired but for her sake, he was neglecting his health.

The moment she saw her grandfather, FengJiu couldn’t help but shed tears.

She immediately wiped all of it, afraid that her grandfather would see it.

She took a deep breath and tried to compose herself. MinFeng touched her shoulder, she looked at him and smiled as she hold his hand that was on her shoulder.

MinFeng gave her strength.

Strength to face the truth.

When FengJiu reached the bed, she tried her best not to show any weakness in front of him.

“Yeye…”

The old man turned his head and opened his eyes.

“Child.. you.. *cough* *cough* are.. here?”

FengJiu managed to smile and nodded. She hold his hand and asked,

“How are you, Yeye?”

XuanTian chuckled. He raised his other hand to touch her face but he could only raise it halfway.

FengJiu immediately held it and placed it on her cheek.

“Why are you moving ahh? Just lay down obediently.”

He laughed and patted her cheeks. He raised his head and stared at MinFeng.

“Lad, …how *cough* is …my granddaughter? ….is she giving ….you *cough* headaches?”

MinFeng smiled and shook his head.

“She’s not… but even if she is, I will still pamper her.”

MinFeng stroke her hair and stared at her lovingly.

Suddenly, the good atmosphere was destroyed by XuanTian’s series of coughs.

“Yeye?! Are you okay?!”

FengJiu paled when she saw that he was already coughing blood.

MinFeng immediately pressed the alarm button while trying to calm FengJiu.

Few seconds later, doctors and nurses went inside.

“Miss Feng, Mr. Lu, we would like to ask you to go outside the room.”

The doctor noticed FengJiu’s hysterical reaction.

“No!! I don’t want to!! No!! No!! Yeye!!”

MinFeng immediately carried her outside the room, leaving the wheelchair inside.

FengJiu was shaking as she stared at the door of her grandfather’s room.

“MinFeng.. *sob* sob* Yeye.. Yeye *sob* is coughing blood.. too much *sob* *sob* …blood.”

MinFeng placed her on the bed but FengJiu kept struggling. She wanted to see her grandfather but MinFeng wouldn’t allow her.

She glared at him and pushed him away.

“No!! I want to see him.. I hate you!! I hate you!!”

MinFeng could only hug her tight as she tried to break free from his embrace.

“Shhh.. shhh.. It’s okay… It’s okay.. he will not die.. Yeye will not die. ”

FengJiu cried and shook her head.

“MinFeng, you liar.. Yeye.. *sob* Yeye coughed up blood..”

“Why?? Why him?? If he dies, what will I do..?”

FengJiu stopped struggling but her eyes were starting to lose its light.

“If he dies… Ah Jiu will die too…”

FengJiu whispered as she stared blankly.

When MinFeng heard her, he felt like his soul was sucked out of his body.

He immediately pressed the emergency button.

“FengJiu… look at me… please look at me..”

But no matter what he did, no matter what he said, FengJiu wouldn’t respond to him.

When the doctor came, FengJiu was already not moving. She looked like a soulless doll.

After the doctor checked FengJiu, he sighed and shook his head.

“Tell me, how is she?”

The doctor inhaled and opened his mouth.

“Miss Feng underwent shock. Her mind subconsciously locked herself to avoid reality.

The doctor wanted to cry but lacked tears to shed.

MinFeng closed his eyes and released the doctor from his grip.

He immediately sat beside FengJiu and stroked her face.

“Stupid woman… You said you will die if Yeye dies… What about me? What about Little Bump?? If you and Little Bump die, I’ll die too..

FengJiu… Love… Why are you so stupid? I’m still here.. Little Bump and I are still here for you… Aren’t we your family too?”

But no matter what MinFeng say, FengJiu wouldn’t even look at him. She just continued to stare blankly.

When the doctor saw them, he could only sigh and go outside to prepare for FengJiu’s prescription.

MinFeng placed his head on hers and closed his eyes as he cupped her cheeks.

No matter what he did, FengJiu wouldn’t respond to him. It frustrates him but he could not do anything.

For once, he felt like he was powerless.

Powerless to protect his wife and child.

If it wasn’t for Feng branch family’s scheme, XuanTian’s health wouldn’t deteriorate in this level.

MinFeng’s eyes narrowed. Seemed like Feng’s branch family should just disappear completely.
