Chapter 42: I Love You

Xiao Mei was eating strawberry shortcake at the same place where she met MinDe the second time.

Although her heart was still bleeding because MinDe did not show up for their dinner date, it did not lessen her passion and enthusiasm. She believed that if she persevered, she would successfully capture MinDe’s heart.

Thinking about that man, Xiao suddenly became energetic.

‘Yup!! All I need is to show my feminine side!! I will make sure he will be dazzled by my appearance and graceful attitude. Uhuh!! Hwaiting[1]!!’

Xiao Mei punched her right hand and posed like Superman.

She was eating vigorously when she realized something.

‘*gasps* Aiyaaa!!! Where would I find MinDe?! I DON’T EVEN KNOW HIS SCHEDULE!!! Mamamia~ Idiot Ah Mei! Boo~ hoo~’

Xiao Mei felt as if all of her energy was sucked by an invisible force.

She leaned on the table and pressed her cheeks on it.

She exhaled and scratched her head.

Her mind wondered somewhere as she stared at the window, waiting for MinDe’s shadow.

In a far away corner of the snack house, two pair of eyes were looking at her.

An unfathomable glint could be seen inside that person’s eyes.

After a few minutes, Xiao Mei regained her energy and returned to being enthusiast.

Since she was bored, she decided to walk around the street.

It was three in the afternoon and many stalls are still operating. She was walking towards the food area when she smelled a delicious aroma.

She moved towards that stall and saw that they were selling korean rice cakes[2].

“아저씨, 얼마에요[3]? (Uncle, How much is this?)”

Xiao Mei asked while munching the rice cake.

“이천[4] (2000 won). 2 dollars.”

“Ahh? So expensive!!”

Xiao Mei grumbled while paying.

She moved to the next stall and ate another food. This time, it was takoyaki[5].

She was busy eating when her handkerchief fell.

She did not notice it and continued to move from stall to stall until she was almost at the end of the market.

Little did she know , someone picked up her handkerchief.

The person folded the handkerchief and placed it inside his suit.

His outfit was a bit conspicuous and many people were looking at him.

Aside from his beautiful countenance, the way he carried himself attracted many passerby.

After watching Xiao Mei eating like a glutton, a small smile bloomed on his face.

Xiao Mei was busy eating halo-halo[6] that she brought from that friendly auntie.

She almost got brain freeze as she ate the shaved ice inside.

She was enjoying her time when she found out that her handkerchief was missing.

‘Oh no! Where did I put it?! What should I do?? It’s granny’s birthday gift.’

Xiao Mei panicked. She visited all the stalls on the area but she still couldn’t find it.

It was very precious to her. It was given to her when she turned eighteen. It had her name on it.

She called the Market’s Management Team and asked if they could help her find her handkerchief.

She even offered a reward and gave her contact number so they could call her if they find it.

She was still feeling sad when YanFei called her.

“Gege?! When did you arrived in Beijing?!”

YanFei chuckled.

“Just a week ago.”

“I knew it!! I even texted Ah Jiu saying you are already here but she did not respond. Stupid Ah Jiu!”

“Hahahah. Are you busy?? I heard you ran from home?”

Xiao Mei grimaced.

“Enn. Long story.”

“We should meet up so you could share it to your gege.”

“Enn!! I will call Ah Jiu! Let’s meet up at Drunken Immortal.”

“Okay. See you there.”

“Byebye. Call you later.”

Few minutes later, Xiao Mei also called FengJiu.

When FengJiu arrived, Xiao Mei could see that she was a bit angry and sad.

‘Shouldn’t she be happy because YanFei gege is here?’

The three of them talked for a while when YanFei gege’s phone rang.

“Excuse me. I’ll just take this call. Both of you better behave, okay?”

“Enn.. We know!”

Both FengJiu and Xiao Mei answered in unison. The three of them laughed.

When YanFei gege left, Ah Jiu suddenly fell silent. As if her thoughts were wondering somewhere.

She tried to ask FengJiu but FengJiu just smiled and said that it was nothing.

FengJiu only ordered water while both her and YanFei gege ordered liquor.

Xiao Mei suddenly thought of a naughty idea.

If FengJiu became drunk, she might spill the beans[7].

Xiao Mei switched their drinks.

FengJiu was still in deep thoughts when she reached her glass. She was so engrossed thinking something that she was not able to notice the pungent smell of the liquor.

Xiao Mei grinned when she saw FengJiu took a sip but her eyes went wide when FengJiu spit everything.

FengJiu subconsciously pressed her hand towards her tummy while trying to vomit everything.

Xiao gaped in horror.

She immediately grabbed some tissues and gave it to FengJiu.

‘What’s wrong with Ah Jiu?? Did her stomach hurt because of me?’

“Ah Jiu!! I’m sooo sorry.. I’m sooo sorry!!! What have I done?!”

“It’s okay… I just drank a little.”

YanFei gege returned and saw her agitated.

“What happened?”

“It’s nothing. Really. I’m okay.”

FengJiu patted Xiao Mei’s head.

“Don’t do this again okay?”

“Mmmm. I’m sorry.. *sobs*”

Few minutes later, Xiao Mei could see that FengJiu’s attitude became provocative all of a sudden.

FengJiu started to laugh loudly, danced while sitting and she almost kissed YanFei gege.

Xiao Mei could feel her spirit flying away.

She panicked and called MinFeng.

When MinFeng arrived FengJiu acted like she wanted to devour him any minute.

Xiao Mei couldn’t hear MinFeng and FengJiu’s conversation clearly because of the loud music.

Xiao Mei was shocked to death when FengJiu suddenly cried.

MinFeng said something to FengJiu and she clung to his arm while shaking her head.

Few seconds later FengJiu shouted,

“Because I was Jealous!!”

Xiao Mei suddenly felt cold. She turned her head and saw YanFei gege staring at the two.

She did not see what happened next because she was looking at YanFei gege when FengJiu said,

“I was jealous because I love you!”

Xiao Mei closed her eyes when she saw FengJiu grabbed MinFeng’s neck and kissed him.

‘Yikes!! FengJiu assaulted bad gege!!’
