He thought if he attacked him from behind, he would definitely succeed.

But, Fang Zhihan seemed to have eyes on the back of his head.

With a sharp squint of his eyes, he turned around swiftly, grabbed onto Du Shunian’s wrist and restrained his hands behind his back.

When the dagger dropped on the ground, he pushed Du Shunian towards the wall and knocked him against it a few times.

Du Shunian spat out some blood and lay on the floor, unable to make a sound.

Fang Zhihan pulled out a handkerchief and wiped away the blood on his hands before he turned and looked towards Qiao Pan’er’s direction.

His cold gaze made Qiao Pan’er tremble in fear as she ran to hide.

This man was calm in the face of danger.

Even when Du Shunian aimed a dagger at his back, he remained composed as he fought back.

Qiao Pan’er was terrified.

She was scared that Fang Zhihan would walk over to her and hit her as well.

As his footsteps echoed across the quiet garden and she heard the chatter and laughter from the ballroom, the garden felt particularly eerie. Fang Zhihan walked over to a position that was in line with Qiao Pan’er and glanced across the tall potted plants.

Fang Zhihan’s icy cold eyes slowly and softly turned towards Yu Gangan and he walked to her side.

“What are you doing here?”

“Looking for you.”

“Let’s go home.”

The man’s voice was calm like water, as though everything that had happened…was just a dream.
