Lily panted loudly but she did not look scared.

Her stepmother, Grace, ran to Yun Jian; long gone was her aggressive attitude as she told Yun Jian obsequiously, “It was my fault. I should… I deserve to be hit! I should be hit! Don’t hold a grudge, yeah? I’m harsh with my words but I have a soft heart, I—”
