The lake lay beneath the earth, in a dark cave where a deathly silence reigned.

However, things were never quite as peaceful as they looked on the surface. The current at the bottom of the lake was quite strong. Teng Qingshan swam like a fish in the current. He was absorbing oxygen through the pores of his skin.
