The Mysterious Heiress: Researcher In Disguise Chapter 410

Chapter 410

Wu Zhiheng looked at Chen Shan exasperatedly and shouted, “Hold Fu Zhi! Throw the ball!”

Even though he knew there was nothing they could do to turn the tide, at least they’d scored a three-pointer in the first half of the match. However, they had not scored again yet in the second half of the match, and Hang Yuan could not afford such an embarrassment.

The basketball team from Hang Yuan rushed up to Fu Zhi after Wu Zhiheng’s orders.

Everyone was watching the match with bated breath. They did not want Hang Yuan to score again so that they could have the perfect finish.

Fu Zhi was standing outside the 3-point line and was cornered by both Chen Shan and Gou Qi.

Chen Shan watched Fu Zhi with rapt attention as she raised her arm.

Gou Qi and Chen Shan were much calmer and had a better plan this time.

There were only 20 seconds left before the match ended, and Fu Zhi could only throw the ball herself if she wanted to score.

After all, passing the ball would take too much time, and they were confident that she would not take the risk.

Thus, since both of them were keeping their eyes on Fu Zhi, regardless of whether she tried to fake a throw or she really jumped to make the shot, there was a good chance they could intercept her.

However, the moment the idea popped into their minds, Ye Jiu, Lu Yubai, Song Fang, and Zhou Zihuai turned around and left the court.

At the same time, Fu Zhi unhurriedly changed the direction of the force on her wrist.

They were familiar with this move.

It was the behind-the-back shot.

The only difference was that her back was facing her own basket.

The orange ball made a perfect arc across the air and fell right through the hoop precisely.

The referee blew the whistle, and the game ended.

Yuan Hang had gotten a 3-pointer in the second half of the match, but unfortunately, this three-point shot had been performed by Fu Zhi, and her team had walked off the court early.

There was silence in the gymnasium for a few minutes. Everyone watched Fu Zhi in disbelief as she walked up to Chen Shan. “You guys want to win, yet you can only play dirty because you’re weak. Consider this 3-point shot a little something from me. You’re welcome, and I won’t charge you guys any money.”

There were a lot of rules in a basketball match. The reason Song Fang did not want to play basketball with Lu Yumo was that he would simply throw the ball at the basket in front of him, be it his team’s basket or his opponent’s basket, when his emotions got the best of him. When that happened, the point would be given to their opponent, which was something unacceptable in a regular basketball match.

However, Fu Zhi was different. She was fully aware of what she was doing, and she’d intentionally thrown the ball into Hang Yuan’s basket.

“Fu Zhi! How dare you!” Wu Zhiheng finally snapped after being humiliated by Fu Zhi again and again. He rushed up to her, only to be stopped by Chen Shan. “Pull yourself together. You can’t beat her!”

“I can!”

“No, you cannot!”

While the two of them were engaged in a fight, the spectators on the bleachers slowly came back to their senses one after another. A round of applause erupted from them as all of them shouted.

“Ahh! Fu Zhi! You’re so cool!”

“We won! We won again!”

“Not only did Hang Yuan lose the match, but they also lost their face! Didn’t they want a 3-point shot very much? Sister Zhi gave it to them!”

“All of them have so much faith in Fu Zhi! So this is what true friends are like?”

“I’m really curious to know how Hang Yuan is feeling right now. Frustrated? Angry? Embarrassed? In any case, they deserve it!”

In the end, the final score of the match was 54:6.

No matter how they saw it, Hang Yuan did not deserve the 6 points at all, and Fu Zhi’s attitude was a response to their dishonesty.

Did dishonest players like them deserve respect?

Did dishonest players deserve to play basketball with them?

The reason Fu Zhi had decided to participate in the match was not that she wanted to win, as Ye Jiu alone was sufficient to defeat all of them.

The main reason she had decided to participate was that they’d beaten Lu Yumo. She did not want an apology from them, nor did she plan to let them off the hook. After all, the police would be useless if one could be forgiven for his or her mistakes just by apologizing. She wanted an eye for an eye, and she wanted them to feel despair!

Beside the court, Lu Yubai, who was in seventh heaven right now, raised Fu Zhi in his arms.

On the other hand, Ye Jiu was not happy about it. Fu Zhi had many brothers now, and she was no longer his exclusive sister. He opened his arms, stood in front of Fu Zhi, and said, “I want a hug too.”

He paused for a moment before adding, “From you.”

Fu Zhi said, “How about I carry you in my arms?”

“Really?”

“What do you think?”

“…”

‘That means no then.’

After the match ended, Director Liu gave Fu Zhi a crystal trophy that cost 99,99 yuan.

Then, he gave the other team a bronze medal that he had bought from Taobao the other day for 9,90 yuan and comforted them. “Don’t get disheartened. Although you didn’t get the crystal trophy, you still got a bronze medal!”

Wu Zhiheng did not want to stay any longer.

Just as he turned around and got ready to leave, Fu Zhi called out to him. During the match, she had just punished Chen Shan. Gou Qi had a sister as well, and perhaps he did not feel right hitting a girl, so he had not done anything to Fu Zhi.

Every injustice had a perpetrator. Therefore, Fu Zhi felt that the best solution was to go back to the source of the matter, and in their case, that was Wu Zhiheng.

She beckoned at Wu Zhiheng.

Wu Zhiheng sneered and walked up to Fu Zhi. “I admit that you’re better than us, but you’d better not get too full of yourself. Today is just the first day of the exchange meeting. I’ll be brutally blunt. You…”

Crack!

Fu Zhi had punched his jaw before he could even finish his sentence. “I can tolerate your ugly face, but you have to keep your mouth shut.”

Fu Zhi made no effort to hide the fact that she had just punched Wu Zhiheng. She had put all her strength into the punch, and Wu Zhiheng fell to the floor.

All the teachers in the gymnasium looked at her.

“I didn’t want to do it, but…” Fu Zhi pointed at Wu Zhiheng. “He told me that he felt ashamed of his deeds, and after seeing the deep friendship between the students of No.1 High School, he saw the light and wanted to redeem himself, so he forced me to punch him!”

Fu Zhi shrugged. “I’m just a feeble little girl who can’t even open a jar. I was worried that he might hit me if I didn’t listen to him, so I could only grant his wish!”
