“Qi Lei! Why are you here…Argh!” Gu Lingsha could not even finish her sentence when Qi Lei had already pushed her away with a hand after striding over. Gu Lingsha staggered and almost fell, but fortunately, her reaction was swift enough that she held onto the wall by the side in time.

Qi Feng grunted with a sullen face, then uttered in a deep voice, “Leave us, Shasha. Nobody enters without my order!”

Looking at the brothers’ gloomy expressions, Gu Lingsha pulled a long face and hesitated for a second before she left silently in the end.

As soon as the door was closed, Qi Feng tried to struggle, but a chill brushed his face and he felt an intense pain in his jaw immediately. Blood even spurted out of his mouth!

“Was it you? Was it you?!” Qi Lei tossed Qi Feng to the side and glared unconcernedly at him while gripping the desk in embarrassment.

The excruciating pain from his jaw made Qi Feng frown, but amidst all the agony, he swallowed the metallic sweetness in his mouth and gazed calmly at the feral human standing in front of him. He then raised his arm and casually wiped off the blood oozing from the corner of his mouth. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“You don’t know? How dare you say so? How dare you?” Qi Feng’s reply undoubtedly ignited Qi Lei’s wrath. As his glare grew colder, he took two steps forward and reached out to grab him by his neck and choke him. This time around, Qi Feng’s reaction was swift. He quickly grasped Qi Lei’s wrist. “Qi Lei, don’t be too presumptuous. Not everybody is born to tolerate you!”.

“Presumptuous? Who else could be more despicable than you?! Who do you plan to fool now? Father is in the hospital now, hovering between life and death, and you’re telling me you don’t know sh*t about it. Who do you think I am? A three-year-old?! I can tell, even with my eyes closed, that the person who called the shots was you! How heinous and vicious can you be? He’s our father who has dedicated his life to protect you from everything, and you were able to make such a call. I’ve really underestimated you! You chose to lay your hand on your own father when you couldn’t get to me!”

Qi Lei’s stern tone resembled the sheer cold wind of December as it slashed through the air across the room.

“I don’t need you to remind me! Let go!” Qi Feng pushed Qi Lei away while his eyes were filled with indifference and defiance. “You’re just playing the role of a fake protagonist. When I say it wasn’t me, it wasn’t me. You’re not the only one that draws lines here!”

Qi Lei clenched his fists and stared at Qi Feng. “And you expect me to believe you? I know that you were the one who took a shot at me and Yang Sheng! Qi Feng, you’re such a despicable hypocrite, and that stance of yours disgust me! No matter how badly I’m doing, at least, I would never lay a hand on my relatives. Only a person as mercenary as you would be able to do something like that!”

“I told you that it wasn’t me! It wasn’t me! I’m upset about Father’s accident too. However, you’re the opinionated one to be putting all the blame on me.” Qi Feng put on a scowl while his glare was intense.

Qi Lei gave a disdainful sneer. “I know you down to your bones, Qi Feng. How dare you say this has nothing to do with you? Is it because our father postponed the shareholders’ meeting and a sense of crisis struck you? Your insecurity made you feel uneasy, so you deliberately wanted to get rid of me. And when you couldn’t do so, you just changed your target!”

“Qi Lei, I can tolerate you saying these here today, but you’d better not cross my line. If you’re certain that I planned everything, then show me proof. Convince me.” Qi Feng inhaled sharply to endure the severe pain. He then slowly sat back in the office chair behind him.

“Do you really think I’d come without any proof? Glenn is proof! He’s Doris’s man, so he wouldn’t have done it without your instructions! So, go to hell, Qi Feng!”

“I just found out about Glenn too. Whether you believe it or not, this incident has nothing to do with me!” Qi Feng’s expression was serious, and his tone was calm.

Clamping his jaw, Qi Lei took a breath and chuckled. “Okay, maybe you just neglect everything. However, since you want the Qi Kai Group that badly, I’ll abolish it before I let it fall into your hands!”

Having heard that, Qi Feng’s eyes turned gloomy. He raised his head and gazed at Qi Lei. After all, you are just a b*stard. Grandpa didn’t agree to let you become the heir of the Qis! Father defended you up till today, yet you bite the hand that feeds you. “Qi Lei! Mind your words! I’ve told you. I have nothing to do with Father’s incident.” Qi Feng’s expression became more gloomy and terrifying because Qi Lei’s attitude while determining him as the culprit behind the accident made him very furious.
