Chapter 782: Zhijin, I Support You

“Zhijin, Zhijin?”

Li He called out twice in a hushed tone of voice before Shen Zhijin finally looked over.

‘Strange,’ Li He thought to himself.

Shen Zhijin was well-known for being serious and meticulous. It was really rare for him to be so distracted.

Professor Fang Liang was still lecturing up there. Why did he seem to be lost in thought?

“Zhijin, what’s up with you? Are you thinking about something?” Li He asked in a lowered tone of voice.

“Yes.”

Shen Zhijin responded faintly before pausing for a moment.

“I’m thinking about banning outsiders from entering the classroom to listen to lectures.”

Li He, “…”

He silently glanced behind Shen Zhijin.

Wasn’t it said that Shen Zhijin liked Lu Huaiyu?

Previously, they had gone to the staff cafeteria to eat together, and then they had gone to the Tianye City supermarket to shop together.

But now… Why did it seem like something was not quite right?

However, Shen Zhijin was the vice-principal. If he really wanted to do this, it would not be impossible.

Moreover…

Thinking about the grievances between Lu Huaiyu and the Mathematics Department in the past, Li He’s heart was filled with mixed feelings.

In any case, he could not deal with that kid. The entire Mathematics Department was relying on Professor Fang’s Advanced Mathematics class to barely make a comeback.

But now, it could be seen that Professor Fang was also annoyed. He did not know how many times he had told Lu Huaiyu not to come again, but it was useless.

Lu Huaiyu was not an easy person to deal with. Initially, the sure-win situation he had been in had allowed him to endure until they had reached a draw. Now, he had the vague feeling that the tables would be turned.

If this continued, he felt that Professor Fang might have to persuade Lu Huaiyu to leave with a sincere tone.

How could this work?

Fortunately, Shen Zhijin was still here.

Thinking of this, Li He felt a lot more relieved. In seriousness, he said, “Zhijin, if this is proposed in the next meeting, I will give you my vote.”

…

Finally, the class ended.

Regardless of whether it was because of Professor Fang’s lecture, the students who attended the class, or the teachers who had listened in on the class, after experiencing such an exciting class, all of them had complicated emotions.

One of the teachers from the Mathematics Department suggested, “Dean Li, Dean Shen, there is still another segment upstairs later. Do we still want to go over and listen?”

Li He’s eyelids twitched.

Did they still want to listen?

What else was there to listen to?

Had he not been embarrassed enough today?

He coughed forcefully.

“This, I think…”

Shen Zhijin said, “There are still some things that need to be dealt with at the laboratory. I don’t think I’ll be able to go over today.”

Li He let out a long sigh of relief. It would be good if he could not go over!

He did not want to see the students from the Institute of Physics attend the Mathematics Department’s classes and neither did he want Shen Zhijin to see the students from the Institute of Mathematics attend the Mathematics Department’s classes.

That would only remind him of everything that had happened today.

Shen Li’s words seemed to have been engraved in his mind. He could not get rid of them no matter how hard he tried.

Five classes from the Institute of Mathematics.

Now that Shen Zhijin had actively refused the suggestion, Li He finally felt a little better.

“Ah, that’s such a pity!”

Li He put on a regretful look on his face. Then, he changed the topic.

“Zhijin’s time is precious, so the experiment can’t be delayed. Shall we… just do that another day?”

He had no intention of persuading him to stay.

Shen Zhijin nodded, then looked to the side.

“Tangtang.”

Shen Li turned around. “Dad.”

Shen Zhijin’s gaze swept past Lu Huaiyu and the black backpack that he was helping to carry. Then, he calmly said, “The third phase of your experiment can start now. It just so happens that there’s a new observer in the institute. You can go take a look.”

Shen Li’s eyes lit up.

“Really?”

She had been waiting for the latest observer for a long time.

“Alright, I’ll go over in a moment!”

Seeing that she was happy, Shen Zhijin laughed lightly as well.

“Let’s go. I’ll go back with you.”

Seeing this situation, the teacher from the Mathematics Department sighed again.

“Scientific research is boring and there are fewer and fewer people who are capable of doing research quietly. It’s really rare that Shen Li is like this. The reason you applied for exemptions was to free up more time and energy to do this, right?”

Shen Li smiled at the teacher and nodded.

“It’s more convenient.”

The teacher looked at her in admiration.

“Getting full marks for all eleven subjects. This result is indeed…”

A teacher from the Institute of Physics curiously asked,”Huh? She didn’t get exemptions for only eleven subjects. She got it for fourteen subjects.”

The teacher was stunned. It was obvious that he was also shocked by the number.

“Fourteen?!”

Shen Zhijin’s phone suddenly vibrated.

He took it out and Shen Li took a look. It was a call from the counselor, Xia Rui.

She was a little surprised.

Why did the teacher seem to be very… familiar with Shen Zhijin?

Shen Zhijin had already answered the call.

“Teacher Xia.”

“Dean Shen,” Xia Rui’s cheerful voice came from the phone, “The results of the fourteen exams that Shen Li applied for have all come out. Could you ask her to make a trip to the institute to go through the follow-up procedures?”

Since she had applied for an exemption and passed so many subjects all at once, she needed to settle her file and other matters.

Shen Zhijin nodded.

“Thank you, Miss Xia. I’ll bring her over later.”

“You’re too kind. I’m Shen Li’s tutor. I’m just doing my job!”

Ever since Shen Zhijin had called to ask about Shen Li’s results, Xia Rui had given more attention to Shen Li’s matters since she was responsible for both her idol and her students.

This time, Shen Li had passed fourteen exams, which was a big deal. She had thought that Shen Zhijin might feel reluctant to ask directly ask Shen Li about her results, so she decided to take the initiative to call her.

In a sense, it could also be considered to be a boost to their father-daughter relationship!

“Oh, right, I have to specially inform you that Shen Li scored full marks in all fourteen exams! Principal Shen, congratulations!”

Shen Zhijin thanked her again before hanging up.

Li He, who was beside him, had overheard a few words that seemed to be related to Shen Li’s results.

He asked casually, “Zhijin, was that a teacher from your department?”

Shen Zhijin smiled.

“Yes, Ah Li’s teacher said that the results from all fourteen exams that Ah Li took have been released and that she got full marks. She needs to take some time to go through the follow-up procedures.”

“…”

The classroom, which had originally been noisy due to it being the end of the class, quieted down again.

Li He rubbed his face, took a deep breath, and finally spoke carefully,”Then, this matter is quite important. Don’t delay. You… you should hurry up.”

Just hurry up and leave!
