In front of the gilded ebony door, Fiennes stood tall and stately.

He was wearing a camel-colored suit with a barbed collar and a plain white shirt underneath. He was meticulously buttoned up with a wind buckle, and his handsome face was looking at Su Wan indifferently.

His face was extremely calm.

To be honest, it was very difficult to wear such a camel-colored suit elegantly, but Fiennes had an extremely noble aura.

He was like an emperor inspecting his territory.

“Miss Su, you’re awake? What are you looking for?”

Fiennes’ lips curved into a half-smile. Although it was a question, it did not sound like a question at all.

Su Wan suddenly felt awkward. She did not have much strength, so she could only lean against the counter and stand up slowly.

“Young Master Fiennes, long time no see.”

As Su Wan spoke, she inconspicuously moved to the side, trying to block the scissors that she had just dropped.

To be honest, in her current situation, the scissors were also a good defensive tool. If Fiennes took them away, she would feel even more insecure.

Though she did not have any sense of security at the moment.

Fiennes looked at Su Wan indifferently and quietly took in her weak appearance.

It seemed that the effect of the medicine was not bad.

Su Wan’s physical strength seemed to be very poor. She could not even rely on her own strength to stand up alone.

“Miss Su, it has indeed been a long time. I heard that His Highness and you had a car crash on Planet Aquamarine. Now that I see Miss Su standing in front of me with her beautiful face, I am very happy.”

Beautiful face?

Wasn’t she still wearing that ghastly pale makeup?

Su Wan frowned slightly and subconsciously stroked her chin.

She had not looked at herself in the mirror yet.

So…

The makeup on her face had also been removed?!

Seeing Su Wan’s puzzled expression, the corners of Fiennes’ lips curved even more. However, in Su Wan’s eyes, those smiles were no different from a venomous snake baring its fangs.

Ever since Jiang Xuecheng had explained Fiennes’ true nature to her, Su Wan felt that there was no existence more terrifying than Fiennes.

Even if it was to see that pampered and lawless eldest daughter, Diya, it was still better than seeing this crazy man!

“Miss Su, I really don’t dare to compliment your previous makeup, so I asked Mother Wu to remove your makeup and help you shower and change at the same time.”

Su Wan was speechless. Fiennes was really in the mood to get someone to take care of this…

However, when she heard Fiennes explain that it was Mother Wu who changed her clothes, Su Wan felt a little better.

Just as Su Wan was rejoicing, the man who had been standing at the door suddenly started to walk towards her.

Su Wan’s heart skipped a beat.

However, she had nowhere to retreat to.

Moreover, judging from her current condition, she probably wouldn’t even have taken two steps before falling to the ground without needing Fiennes to send people to catch her.

Seeing him approach her step by step, Su Wan felt an inexplicable fear in her heart.

Although she didn’t have any deep enmity with Fiennes, this kind of person was temperamental. Moreover, the incident where she and Jiang Xuecheng fell off the cliff on Planet Aquamarine back then was probably manipulated by this smiling tiger!

He could casually kill people!

How terrifying!

She had to be on guard.

Su Wan looked at him warily. In order to appear more calm, she half-supported the table with one hand and stared at him without blinking.

However, on her smooth forehead, beads of sweat started to appear.

Fiennes looked at her suspiciously. The two of them were only inches away. Seeing the gentle smile on his face, Su Wan’s heart was extremely nervous.

“What are you afraid of, Miss Su? I’m not a ferocious beast. Is there a need to look at me like that?”

Fiennes’ blue eyes locked onto Su Wan. There was a radiance that Su Wan could not understand.

Su Wan shook her head with difficulty.

It would be a lie to say that she was not afraid.

However, with the principle of not losing, Su Wan still straightened her back.

At least, she could not show weakness and let others look down on her.

“Young Master Fiennes, I thank you for saving me from Keller. I don’t think it’s suitable for me to stay at your house for too long. Why don’t I leave in a while? It’s better than troubling you.”

Su Wan avoided the main point and talked about Keller lightly. Fiennes’ act of snatching her away in the middle actually saved her life.

If she had fallen into Keller’s hands, that lawless playboy would probably have chopped her up.

Anyone could see Keller’s killing intent toward Su Wan.

Of course, Fiennes’ action was definitely not purely to “save” Su Wan.

Fiennes revealed an extremely gentlemanly smile. He looked at Su Wan indifferently and spoke without leaving a single detail out.

“It’s an honor to be able to save a beauty like Miss Su. How can it be called trouble?”

Su Wan felt goosebumps all over her body when she heard this.

She felt that there was something strange about being complimented by Fiennes like this.

It was just like how a pig would always be well-fed before it was slaughtered.

However, what was even more unexpected to Su Wan was that as soon as Fiennes finished speaking, he lowered his head as if he wanted to kiss Su Wan’s hand.

Su Wan quivered and pulled her hand back before Fiennes could get close to her.

Seeing Su Wan’s dodge, Fiennes’ face showed a trace of anger, but it soon disappeared without a trace.

“I was rude.”

Su Wan was also very embarrassed. She looked at Fiennes in embarrassment, not daring to completely anger this man who could decide her death.

“Uh… I’m sorry… you know that I’m not from a noble family, so I’m not used to this kind of etiquette.”

Fiennes smiled meaninglessly. Su Wan was originally afraid that he would climb down the pole, but Fiennes did not. Instead, he suddenly bent down and picked up the sharp scissors on the ground.

He raised his head and casually put the scissors into his pocket.

“Why is Miss Su looking for scissors? The edge of this thing is too sharp. It would be bad if it cuts Miss Su’s skin.”

Seeing that Fiennes had put away the scissors, Su Wan felt like crying.

It was not easy for her to find something useful in this room!

At least cutting the curtains and making a rope was always possible!

Now it was over!

Everything was gone…

Su Wan felt extremely helpless, but at this moment, she had no choice but to pull herself together. She smiled at Fiennes and continued to focus on the topic of whether she could leave or not.

“Actually, it’s nothing much, but young master Fiennes, although you don’t think it’s troublesome to take me in, I’m a married woman. If I live here, it’s easy for people to talk about me. I wonder if…”

Fiennes’ expression froze when he heard that. His gaze immediately fell on Su Wan’s face like a sharp knife.

“Miss Su, are you trying to lie to me? There’s not a single married partner on your identity document.”

Fiennes paused and his tone suddenly became serious.

“But if you really want to get married, what do you think of me, Miss Su?”
