Sheng An’ning’s hands trembled uncontrollably. She had not expected Jiang Xuecheng to say such indifferent words.

She blinked and tears appeared in her eyes. Sheng An’ning tilted her head to look at Jiang Xuecheng while she replied, “Alright, I’ll get down myself.”

To keep her last bit of pride, Sheng An’ning bit her lips as she got down from the car. She was helpless and she didn’t want Ah Si to throw her down.

The minute she got down from the car, she felt cold wind blowing up her skirt.

Misty rain fell from the sky, hitting her face drop by drop.

The rain was light but Sheng An’ning’s heart hurt.

With low spirits, Sheng An’ning looked at the black car. In a flash, the car sped away, leaving her alone by the side of the road.

Sheng An’ning exhaled lightly and she hugged her slender body. Finally, she felt some warmth.

Although Jiang Xuecheng treated her in this manner, Sheng An’ning couldn’t get herself to hate him. To her, Jiang Xuecheng had been charmed by Su Wan.

How could that woman be good enough for Jiang Xuecheng?

There was a sinister dark light in Sheng An’ning’s beautiful eyes. Her face sank and she finally took out her mobile phone. When she saw the row of missed calls, her eyes flashed and she dialed her agent’s number.

“Hello, is that Sis Li? I’m now on Zhaotong South Road. Please come and pick me.”

When Sis Li received Sheng An’ning’s call, there was a surge of emotions in her.

After ten minutes, Ah Si stopped the car outside Zhao Hua Hospital. Without uttering a single word, Jiang Xuecheng carried Su Wan down the car hastily, leaving Ah Si behind.

Ah Si shrugged helplessly. He parked the car at Zhao Hua Hospital’s parking bay as quickly as he could and then walked quickly to the emergency room.

There weren’t many people in the emergency building. When the people saw Jiang Xuecheng carrying Su Wan, they couldn’t help but look their way.

The nurse in the emergency room recognized Jiang Xuecheng. She came forward very quickly and examined Su Wan secretly as she asked, “Mr. Jiang, do you need a stretcher?”

Carrying a person like this must have used up lots of energy even though Su Wan was not heavy.

Jiang Xuecheng shook his head indifferently and did not have the intention to withdraw his hands. The nurse had to let him carry Su Wan into the elevator and they entered the emergency ward together.

The emergency doctor in a white robe was waiting inside. He nodded respectfully at Jiang Xuecheng.

“Hello, Mr. Jiang.”

Jiang Xuecheng nodded slightly and then placed Su Wan down on the bed carefully for the doctor to examine.

The doctor took out the equipment to take Su Wan’s blood and to test her blood pressure, heartbeat, temperature and other basic tests. After a while, the doctor frowned and started asking Jiang Xuecheng some questions.

“Mr. Jiang, when did the patient start being unconscious?”

Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes moved and with a faint voice, replied, “Since eleven last night till now.”

The doctor pursed his lips and asked again, “Has she been jarred? For example…”

Before the doctor’s voice died down, Ah Si who had been standing by and watching, couldn’t help speaking up, “My young madam has been set up and she took a kind of drug containing hallucinogen at a high dosage.”

After hearing Ah Si’s description silently, the doctor nodded slightly, “From the test results, the amount of hallucinogen in the patient’s body has reduced. In theory, it wouldn’t cause the patient to be unconscious for this long.”

As he spoke, the doctor looked at Jiang Xuecheng with a little inquiry in his eyes.

“Mr. Jiang, we can’t find the cause just yet. Would you consider an MRI for the patient? With the help of magnetic field imaging, we might be able to figure out the cause of the patient’s state of coma.”

Jiang Xuecheng’s brows knitted. He had not thought Su Wan’s illness to sound so complicated.

The unknown was what made one feel most powerless.

Suddenly, an inexplicable fear crept into Jiang Xuecheng’s heart. In fact, he had guessed that Su Wan’s coma had nothing to do with the inferior drug.

After keeping silent for a moment, Jiang Xuecheng moved his lips and asked, “How long would it take to get the results?”

The doctor could sense Jiang Xuecheng’s nervousness. He consoled him smilingly, “Mr. Jiang, don’t worry. This test is quick. You’ll just have to sit here for half an hour and you can watch the magnetic field imaging.”

Jiang Xuecheng’s stiff body relaxed. He nodded nonchalantly and agreed to the doctor’s suggestion.

When he saw Su Wan being carried out of the ward in a stretcher, Jiang Xuecheng felt something jumping in his head.

Only when Su Wan was sent back that Jiang Xuecheng felt better. He placed his hand on Su Wan’s slightly hot hands and anxiously waited for the results of the MRI.

When Ah Si saw Jiang Xuecheng’s look, he couldn’t stand it any longer. He consoled him softly, “Young Master, Young Madam will be alright.”

Jiang Xuecheng listened quietly at Ah Si’s consoling words but did not speak.

Then, there was a rush of footsteps outside and the door was opened. It was the nurse from earlier.

The nurse presented the test results and started to explain to Jiang Xuecheng.

“Mr. Jiang, don’t panic. Although we have not found out why your wife is in a coma, the results show that the patient’s physical functions are all normal…”

Shocked, Ah Si snatched the test results from the nurse’s hand. “Why is it like this?”

Wouldn’t his young master go insane looking at this test results?

Ah Si had thought Jiang Xuecheng would stomp with rage but he only shot them an indifferent look. With a cold voice, he said, “Please give us some space.”

Before Jiang Xuecheng’s voice died down, Ah Si tugged the nurse out and closed the door of the ward softly.

Jiang Xuecheng raised his head slightly. He took a glance at two-thirds of the intravenous bag and then caressed Su Wan’s face silently.

Su Wan’s eyes were closed quietly. Her face was warm and beautiful. Jiang Xuecheng stared at her for a long time and fear welled up in his heart uncontrollably.

He put his hand under Su Wan’s nose. Her breath was long and quiet.

Was it because Su Wan was weak that she couldn’t bear the dosage of drug and remained unconscious till now?
