Su Wan lowered her head to look at her watch. It was now 8.30 am. If she departed now, she would arrive at Jinjiang at about 9 in the morning.

Why couldn’t the person in charge tell her earlier to fix their meeting time?

Su Wan frowned. Although she was not very happy, work was more important.

Su Wan curled inward slightly. She took out her mobile phone and discovered that the icon of the weather application on her phone had changed from a cloudy day to a rainy day!

Lu Qingyu looked at the rain and caught up to that slender figure in front of him. “Why are you rushing? The construction site has no legs and won’t run away.”

As he spoke, he graciously tilted his big black umbrella to cover Su Wan.

After arriving at the construction site, the rain suddenly stopped.

Su Wan and Lu Qingyu slowly checked the construction progress. The foundation of Jinjiang commercial building had been laid but the floor of the building only had a general basic shape.

Su Wan tilted her head up slightly, wanting to look closer but a scream suddenly sounded from behind.

“Su Wan, be careful!”

Su Wan widened her eyes. Before she could respond, she was pushed aside by Lu Qingyu.

Su Wan fell to the ground. She rubbed her knees in pain and was confused as to what had happened.

Suddenly, Su Wan saw a cement brick falling from above and hitting Lu Qingyu!

God! How did such thing happen?

Lu Qingyu was agile and although he avoided his head from being hit by the brick, his leg was still hit!

Blood spread from Lu Qingyu’s black trousers all of a sudden. Su Wan’s heart thumped wildly. Besides Lin Fei’er’s accident, she had not seen so much blood.

Su Wan quickly calmed down and took out her phone to call the emergency number.

“Hello, is this the 120 emergency centre? I am at Jinjiang Street. Someone has been injured!”
