The Indifferent Young Master's Flash Marriage Chapter 167 – A Decision Beyond Comprehension

Chapter 167: A Decision Beyond Comprehension

In a daze, Su Wan looked at the tightly shut door of the operating theater. When she thought of the person lying in there, she felt so much pain that it was difficult to breathe.

Fei’er, who had been talking to her about her baby several hours ago, had now injured her uterus and could not bear children in the future…

Fei’er was so kind and liked children so much. How could the heavens be so cruel to treat her like this?

What made Su Wan felt colder was Li Peng’s parents, who had not been concerned about Lin Fei’er’s conditions earlier on, had now dashed forward when they heard that Lin Fei’er could not be pregnant in the future.

Li Peng’s mother anxiously grabbed the doctor’s wrist and asked, “Doctor, are you sure? Can my daughter-in-law no longer bear a child?”

The doctor looked helplessly at his hand which was grabbed and with a heavy heart, nodded.

“The patient’s uterus injury is quite serious and it will be hard for her to get pregnant again. Of course, we can’t guarantee that she won’t get pregnant.”

Li Peng’s mother suddenly appeared to be ten years older. She let go of the doctor’s hand and her lips trembled as she uttered a terrible sentence.

“What use is a woman who can’t bear a child?”

Hearing clearly what Li Peng’s mother said, not only were Mr. and Mrs. Lin angry but Su Wan was shocked too and her heart ached for Lin Fei’er!

Mr. Lin angrily pointed at Li Peng’s mother. “How could you say such words? If not for your son who messed around outside, how could my daughter have gotten into this state?”

Li Peng’s mother moved back two steps and hid behind Li Peng’s father.

The doctor finally saw the discord between the family members. He frowned and wanted to go inside.

The anxious Mrs. Lin immediately stopped him, “Doctor, can I go in to see my daughter?”

For Mrs. Lin, although she was sad when she knew that Lin Fei’er could not get pregnant in the future, wasn’t it more important for her daughter to live?

There would be hope if she was alive. If she couldn’t be pregnant, they could adopt a child but if she was dead, then nothing would be left…

The doctor looked at the group of people and started to enjoin faintly.

“The patient is still unconscious and needs to rest quietly. You may go in to see her but you must disinfect yourselves first. Not too many people should go in at one time to avoid disturbing the patient from her rest.”

Like a rattle, Mrs. Lin kept nodding her head and promised that they would be careful.

The doctor smiled at her and then went inside, leaving the group of people outside, looking at each other in speechless dismay.

Losing his wits, Li Peng sat in a corner on the floor. He couldn’t understand why things would turn out as such. He painfully seized his hair and let out a roar of despair.

Yang Xiaobing timidly touched Li Peng’s back, trying to console him. “Brother Peng, don’t be sad, you still have me…”

Li Peng’s mother’s eyes lit up when she heard those words. She walked quickly toward Yang Xiaobing and took her hands. “Xiaobing, are you pregnant with Peng’s child?”

Yang Xiaobing was taken aback at first. Then, she immediately sensed that Li Peng’s mother was making friendly advances toward her!

She blushed and nodded gently. Then, a bitter smile appeared on her face. “But Aunty, Brother Peng has asked me to abort the child.”

Li Peng’s mother tugged Li Peng, not allowing him to speak but, Li Peng continued squatting on the floor with a dull look.

“The Li family has one son in each of the three generations and you’re our only son. Now that Lin Fei’er cannot bear any child, you won’t want the Li family to have no descendants, would you?”

Looking at Li Peng’s mother’s disgusting mouth and face, Mr. and Mrs. Lin walked over furiously.

“My daughter is still lying in the operating theater now. How could you discuss this matter now with no regards to our feelings?”

Li Peng’s mother glared at them in disagreement, “No matter what, it’s a fact that Lin Fei’er can no longer get pregnant!”

“Mother, stop…”

When Li Peng saw his parents arguing with Mr. and Mrs. Lin, he finally stood helplessly in between them.

When Li Peng got to know that Lin Fei’er could no longer be pregnant, there was the same throbbing pain in his heart.

However, he felt ashamed and uneasy when he thought how he was the cause of the situation today. No matter what, he didn’t wish to quarrel with Fei’er’s parents.

“Xiaobing, please abort the child. When Fei’er wakes up, I wish to live with her happily without making her sad anymore.”

When Li Peng’s desolated voice resounded, not only did Li Peng’s mother raised her head in disbelief but even Mr. and Mrs. Lin were shocked.

In the minds of the older generation, the most important thing after marriage was to have children and to raise them properly.

When Mr. and Mrs. Lin got to know that Li Peng had two women at the same time, they had actually firmly wanted their daughter to divorce Li Peng.

However, now when they knew Lin Fei’er could no longer get pregnant, Mr. and Mrs. Lin felt that it would be difficult for their daughter to remarry. If Li Peng really loved Lin Fei’er, then forgiving him had now become an option.

Yang Xiaobing sniffed and her eyes were filled with tears. She tried very hard to control herself from crying out loud.

“Brother Peng, I know you love Sis Fei’er but I really want to keep this child. In the days to come, this child will belong to you and Sis Fei’er, okay? After I deliver this baby, I’ll return to Nanyang and I won’t disturb both of you again!”

Yang Xiaobing’s voice was choking toward the end. There was a great sense of forbearance on her face, as if she genuinely wished to sacrifice for Li Peng’s sake.

Upon hearing this, Li Peng’s heart shook tremendously!

He had never thought that Yang Xiaobing would consider the interest of the whole for his sake.

He looked at Mr. and Mrs. Lin with uncertainty. Initially, Mr. and Mrs. Lin had wished to have Yang Xiaobing abort her child but now, based on the current situation, Yang Xiaobing’s proposal made them waver.

Mr. and Mrs. Lin knew how much Lin Fei’er loved Li Peng. What if she didn’t want a divorce?

If they did not divorce, they must have a child. Rather than going out to adopt one, no matter what, at least the child in Yang Xiaobing’s stomach was Li Peng’s biological child!

Li Peng’s mother was overjoyed. Her eyes were tearful with excitement as she kept praising Yang Xiaobing. “Good girl, you’re such a good girl!”

Yang Xiaobing looked steadily at Li Peng. Her look was very gentle and weak, making one wish to take pity on her.

Huh, as long as she could convince Li Peng to keep this child, then she was confident she could take over Lin Fei’er’s place in the near future.

Li Peng looked at Yang Xiaobing and seeing Mr. and Mrs. Lin keeping silent, he finally nodded his head and agreed.

Everyone except Su Wan seemed to have come to a consensus. Their initial sad looks were now merrier.

Su Wan stood by the side and looked coldly at their discussion. This was the Li and Lin family’s private affair, and she should not interfere.

Hearing till the end, Su Wan’s heart became heavier and heavier. Wait till Fei’er wakes up, where would these people place her?
