She wore an exquisite white dress and had perfect makeup on. She was holding Sheng Yize by his arm and was whispering into his ear.

All of a sudden, the music quieted down and Sheng Qingyi walked onto a platform with a microphone in his hand. His smile looked perfect. “Welcome, everyone, to the engagement party for Yize and the daughter of the Song family!”

There was immediately a round of enthusiastic applause.

An Xiaxia’s face went pale instantly and Sheng Yize also frowned.

He was going to stop Sheng Qingyi when Song Qingchen stopped him and kissed him on his cheek.

A new round of applause started up around the room!

An Xiaxia clutched Qi Yanxi’s arm with all her strength.

“Xiaxia…” Qi Yanxi called her name, feeling genuinely sorry for her, when An Xiaxia said calmly, “Qi Yanxi, let’s get out of here.”

“We’re leaving?!” Qi Yanxi looked at her in disbelief.

“Yes.” An Xiaxia nodded and dragged him out of the room.

The villa was as brightly lit and boisterous as when they had gotten here, but it had nothing to do with her now.
