An Xiaxia grumbled, then was fast asleep.

Holding her waist, Sheng Yize whispered, “If that’s what you want, I’ll do as you wish.”

The following morning, An Xiaxia woke up to find that she had been invited to join a new chat group with the most unusual name.

It was called “The Working People are the Most Honorable.”

[Yueyue the Adorable]: Heads up, everyone. We have a huge star coming in for an audition today! Be there on time!

[Littlest Qian Ming]: Tch. Who is it? Why the fuss? How huge can he be?

[Hanhan the Ultimate Top]: Are we talking about that veteran idol?

[Yueyue the Adorable]: That’s right!

Seeing all the cutesy nicknames in the chat group, An Xiaxia couldn’t help but ask, “Who’s coming for an audition? Have we found the right candidate?”

An Xiaxia asked gingerly, “Should I?”

Director Yue replied with a long line of “hahaha,” then said in a mysterious tone, “How about you join us on site today? See if you’re happy with our choice.”

An Xiaxia thought that was a great idea, since she had nothing better to do at home. She ran downstairs right away and said to Sheng Yize, “Sheng Yize! Take me to the film location!”

Sheng Yize looked a little surprised. “You know?”

Sheng Yize arched his eyebrows, but said nothing.

“Well, I’m going to watch the audition today! They were saying that some veteran idol was going to show up and I want to be there to worship him!”

The director and the rest of the crew were waiting eagerly.

Director Yue’s face lit up as soon as he spotted the couple. “They’re here! Guys, make them feel at home!”

“Director Yue, where is that veteran superstar you were talking about?” An Xiaxia looked at him expectantly. “Is he perfect for the role?”

Director Yue coughed. “Well, you’re looking right at him.”

An Xiaxia looked around, bewildered.

Right at him? But where?

Sheng Yize couldn’t bring himself to watch this anymore and gave her a knock on the head. “I’m the one auditioning for the role.”

An Xiaxia was astonished!

“You?!” she cried out. “You’re playing Jiye?”

“Well, it’s just a minor role with, like, three scenes,” said Sheng Yize casually. “How are we going to do this? I may need to get used to the character first.”

Director Yue beamed. “Let’s get you changed and your hair and makeup done first!”

Sheng Yize nodded slightly, then followed the costume crew out.

An Xiaxia pinched Director Yue’s cheek and asked earnestly, “Does it hurt?”

Director Yue grimaced. “Do you want me to give you a pinch?”

An Xiaxia shook her head decisively. She then bit her lip and looked at Director Yue in admiration. “How did you persuade him?”

“It’s a secret,” said Director Yue proudly.

They chatted for a little while before Sheng Yize came back.

The bustling studio quieted down immediately.

He had long black hair and wore a black robe; his straight eyebrows slanted upwards, and his eyes were inky black. With the long sword in one hand, he looked otherworldly, aloof and detached. Everyone swallowed.

Director Yue smacked his thigh in excitement. “Perfect! I give him 100/100 for that look alone!”

An Xiaxia said in agony, “Director Yue, you smacked my leg!”
