The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 2497 – Abdication (Chapter 4

Chapter 2497: Abdication (4

Shen Yanxiao’s words made Long Yue freeze in place. Smart as he was, he could not guess what Shen

Yanxiao was thinking right now.

Even though the Long Xuan Empire was gradually declining, it also had an extremely vast territory.

Although Shen Yanxiao possessed great power now, it was very dicult to occupy any country at this

stage. Now, Long Yue had given Shen Yanxiao such an opportunity to win the Long Xuan Empire without

sacricing a single soldier.

Yet she refused…

For what reason?

“Long Yue.” Shen Yanxiao looked at the puzzled face of Long Yue with a smile on her mouth.

“Yes.”

“I know what you are worried about, and I can tell you right now that you don’t have to worry. I refuse

your proposal, but I will use another method to reassure you. Only, I have one more request.” Shen

Yanxiao said.

“Please do speak.” Long Yue looked at Shen Yanxiao in confusion. He really didn’t know what was going

through Shen Yanxiao’s mind.

“I want your father to abdicate and have you reign as emperor.” Shen Yanxiao said.

“What…” Long Yue widened his eyes.

“I can send troops to help you ght the devils, but I don’t believe in your father. I only believe in you. I

don’t want your Long Xuan Empire. If you don’t agree, I’m not going to send troops to aid you. After all, I

don’t want to save an ally who will only run away.” The smile on Shen Yanxiao’s face gradually dispersed,

and her sharp eyes swept to the emperor curled up behind the table.

The current emperor… He had already lost the determination, boldness, and vision of a monarch. If the

Long Xuan Empire continued to be managed by him, even if Shen Yanxiao was willing to send troops,

there was absolutely no way to restore the defeat of the Long Xuan Empire.

An ally who didn’t even have faith in their bloody battle with the Devil Race; it was better not to have such

an ally.

Long Yue opened and closed his mouth as he looked at Shen Yanxiao. He had not expected her to make

such a request.

The emperor clenched his trembling sts and glared at Shen Yanxiao.

Shen Yanxiao looked at the emperor coldly.

“Lord, I announce my abdication right now, I will pass the throne to my son, as you said.” The emperor

spoke between gritted teeth. The hatred and unwillingness within his heart had spread throughout his

entire body.

“Good.” Shen Yanxiao smiled and said nothing more.

Long Yue’s expression was very tangled. When he gave up the country to Shen Yanxiao, there was no

struggle, but when his father abdicated and proclaimed him emperor…

Long Yue found it really dicult to accept.

“Lord, I know that what my father did in the past has caused you a lot of dissatisfaction, but please believe

that he will not do anything bad in the war. I can follow him, as for the abdication…” Long Yue hesitated.

He was unwilling to take the throne in this way.

“Long Yue.” Shen Yanxiao’s voice suddenly became cold, and her chilly eyes shifted to Long Yue, who still

wanted to continue speaking.

“Right now, you are not qualied to bargain with me.”

Shen Yanxiao’s words made Long Yue completely shut his mouth.

Shen Yanxiao was free to do what she wanted. No one could refute her. Everything depended on her

mood.

Long Yue silently retreated to his position. He looked at his father with some worry.

The emperor just stopped drinking and said nothing more.

The throne of the Long Xuan Empire, today, in the City Lord Residence of The Rising Sun City, had been

completely passed down under the witness of several parties.

No one knew why Shen Yanxiao did this. All they could do was to witness it.
