The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 2293 – Dark Devil Seed (Chapter 3)

Chapter 2293: Dark Devil Seed (3)

But she would leave sooner or later, and sooner or later the money would be spent. By then, the

Alchemist Guild would return to its hard days.

If she wanted to change the situation of the alchemists, she could only start from the root.

Shen Yanxiao had been wondering why alchemists, despite being a good profession, were not treated

well.

Mengmeng Qi was slightly stupeed, “Are they being treated badly? No way. I always send a lot of supplies

and money every year. The funds for the Alchemist Guilds are the same as those for the Pharmacist

Guilds.” Mengmeng Qi did not feel in the slightest that the treatment given to the alchemists was

miserable. He gave the same amount of money to the two guilds, and the pharmacists, who wandered in

front of him, were rich and did not seem to have been mistreated at all.

“…” Shen Yanxiao was speechless. She now knew what was going on.

In fact, it had never crossed the Dwarf King’s mind to treat the alchemists so poorly. He treated the

pharmacists and alchemists in the same way, but he mistakenly estimated the gap between the two professions.

Shen Yanxiao herself was a little monster with two professions, and she knew the gap between a

pharmacist and an alchemist very well.

If the pharmacist’s potion was a failure, it was at most scrapping some medicinal materials and wasting

some time. Furthermore, there were only a very small number of times it would produce an explosion

and damage some of the utensils. On the other hand, explosions in alchemy were so very common that

alchemists basically scrapped a batch of utensils in a few days, which already cost far more than those of

pharmacists. What was more, alchemy required many more materials than pharmacists needed, like the

sacred tools made by Shen Yanxiao, which was already the smallest alchemy product. The huge alchemy

products, such as mechanical puppets, consumed a heinous amount of metal. The consumption between

the two sides was completely out of proportion.

Moreover…

Just how many pharmacists were there? And how many alchemists were there?

There were far more alchemists than pharmacists. The same amount of money would be dierent when

given to one person and when split among a hundred people.

Mengmeng Qi was closer to pharmacists, and the treatment of royal alchemists was dierent from that of

ordinary alchemists, thus creating an illusion for Mengmeng Qi that…

The alchemists lived very well, they were not short of money at all!

This illusion brought about the ignorance of the Dwarf King about the living conditions of the alchemists…

“Mengmeng Qi, do you know the dierence between the number of pharmacists and alchemists in Storm

Continent? Do you think it’s appropriate for you to give them the same amount of money?” Shen Yanxiao

was really speechless. This mistake had continued for so many years among the dwarves, and the

dierence in the treatment of the two professions had made alchemists and pharmacists disagreeable to

each other, aggravating the contradiction between the two professions. And to think that the Dwarf King

had no knowledge of it?!

Shen Yanxiao could not help but wipe away a bitter tear for the dwarven alchemists, whose hardship had

been wracked entirely by their king.

Shen Yanxiao’s words made Mengmeng Qi slightly dumbfounded. He had never thought about this

question, actually.

As the king of the dwarves, how could he not know the gap between alchemists and pharmacists? But he

had never considered this gap when he was funding them.

It was only right now, when Shen Yanxiao told him this that Mengmeng Qi realized what a big mistake he had made.
