The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 2218 – High Clouds Auction (Chapter 3)

Chapter 2218: High Clouds Auction (3)

Shen Yanxiao wanted to die very much. The her right now could be regarded as the poorest she had ever been since her rebirth. She had only five gold coins all over her body, yet she was still treated like a local tycoon by a group of alchemists…

Shen Yanxiao felt that if she took out her purse and showed it to them now, they would strangle her.

After a little preparation, Gege Lu took more than ten alchemists to the High Clouds Auction.

At this Alchemists Convention, nearly seven hundred free members of the Pukos Alchemist Guild came, and a large portion of them were so poor that they didn’t even have the courage to go to the auction. Only ten or so alchemists, who had the same “even if you can’t afford, it’s also good to take a look” mentality as Gege Lu, followed.

Shen Yanxiao was also forcibly dragged along by Gege Lu.

The High Clouds Auction was located in the southeast corner of the capital city, and it covered a large area.

By the time Gege Lu came over with Shen Yanxiao, the auction had been going on for some time. The two dwarves guarding at the door looked a little impatient after seeing Gege Lu.

“President Gege Lu, you are here again?” One of the dwarves said in a helpless tone.

No one in the capital city did not know that although Gege Lu was a guild president, he was a president poorer than any alchemist. He could be regarded as a regular customer of the High Clouds Auction House, but this regular customer had never bought anything from the auction.

This made the dwarves in charge of the auction quite disdainful.

Why bother running over here when you could not afford anything at all?

“Ah, yes.” Gege Lu did not notice the attitude of the other party and there was still a smile on his face.

“What are you going to buy this time, President Gege Lu? Make sure that you haven’t left your purse in the guild this time. Would you like to check it first?” The other dwarf did not bother to speak kindly.

Every time Gege Lu came before, he would give various reasons to cover up the fact that he had not bought anything when he left. Because he was cash-strapped, Gege Lu had never made a bid at the auction even once. When others asked, if he did not say he had lost his purse, then he would tell them that he was not interested in what was being auctioned at that moment. But how could he not be interested when he had the look of someone wanting to rush up and grab the things in the course of the auction?

The dwarves at the High Clouds Auctions had long been used to Gege Lu’s lies.

Hearing the very impolite tone of the other party, the smile on Gege Lu’s face became a little stiff.

“I’ll take a look first, take a look first.” Gege Lu stiffly pulled up at the corners of his mouth. The High Clouds Auction had clear rules for every guest who attended, one of which was, only if their money reached a certain point they were allowed to enter. But the presidents of the major guilds had certain privileges to enter directly, otherwise, with Gege Lu’s fortune, he would not even be able to get through the door.

“Oh, taking a look first again? Then, president, please go ahead.” The two guards said and put on a fake smile. Although their mouths said please, their attitude was extremely haughty.

The smile on Gege Lu’s face was somewhat ugly, but enduring the frustration in his heart, he turned to Shen Yanxiao and others and said to them, “Let’s go inside first.” With that, he immediately turned around and hid the frustration within his eyes.

Shen Yanxiao frowned slightly; she did not like the attitude of the two guards.

As the president of the guild, no matter how little money Gege Lu had, he would not have been reduced to where he was now if not for his dedication to the guild.
