The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 1887 – Another Cultivation (Chapter 2)

Chapter 1887 – Another Cultivation (2)

Nightwolves were about the same size as ordinary wolves, but they had gray-black fur and a faint breath of death energy.

Shen Yanxiao wrapped the dagger in her hand with a cloth strap, which she learned from the mercenaries of the Cave Wolves Mercenary Corps. In fierce battles, weapons were often released accidentally because of external forces. Shen Yanxiao’s lack of physical strength at present made it difficult to guarantee that such a situation would not occur.

Taking a deep breath, Shen Yanxiao displayed the stealthy ability of a godly thief and cautiously approached the nightwolf that was looking for prey everywhere.

The hungry nightwolf had not realized that it itself had become the prey of others. It opened its thirsty eyes and looked around for targets to pounce on.

Suddenly, a ghost-like figure rushed towards the nightwolf.

Shen Yanxiao, with her nimble hands, gripped the dagger tightly and stabbed the nightwolf sneakily.

Although the nightwolf was a low undead creature, its response was extremely agile. It immediately perceived the anomaly in the surroundings and turned its head toward the charging Shen Yanxiao with its ferocious, large mouth wide open.

Shen Yanxiao pierced the back of the nightwolf with the blade. At the moment when it was about to bite her, she immediately jumped back and avoided its attack.

“I’m really not used to doing this right now, ah.” Shen Yanxiao, who had landed a smooth strike, did not feel any sense of accomplishment. She frowned and looked at the nightwolf who had just been stabbed.

Her knife should have originally stabbed the neck of the nightwolf, but because of her insufficient speed, it was able to dodge and she only managed to stab its back. Furthermore, the blade of the dagger had failed to penetrate very far.

She was unsuccessful with the original deathly blow, which made Shen Yanxiao more clearly aware of how puny her current strength was.

If she were to be replaced by her previous self, she could toy such a small nightwolf to death with one hand. How could it be like right now, where she gave the opponent the opportunity to fight back?

Recognizing her present strength, Shen Yanxiao did not give up, but strengthened her confidence to strive to become stronger.

Shen Yanxiao and the nightwolf fought fiercely in the Forest of Death where there were no other undead around.

……

Time flew by so fast that half a month had already passed in the blink of an eye.

Deep in the Forest of Death, above a huge tree, there was a small tree house. This house was very simple, only enough to shelter someone against the wind and rain.

An agile figure sprang up from under the tree and stood steadily on the branch.

Inside the tree house a cute, little fellow had his legs crossed, looking at someone whose entire body was soaked in blood.

“Is there really a need for this?” Taotie blinked his eyes at Shen Yanxiao, who came back dirty from head to toe again.

At this moment, Shen Yanxiao, wearing simple black clothes, was carrying a breathless undead creature on her shoulder. Seeing the dumbfounded expression of Taotie, Shen Yanxiao laughed and threw the undead creature to him.

For the past half month, except for when she ate and slept, Shen Yanxiao had spent the rest of her time searching for undead creatures everywhere in the Forest of Death.

In the process, Shen Yanxiao met with danger several times and Taotie tried to take action these several times. However, he was stopped by Shen Yanxiao. She would rather fight and incur wounds than let Taotie help her.

As a result, Shen Yanxiao’s growth was very fast.

At the beginning, she could only be cautious against low undead creatures. Now, she was able to kill intermediate undead creatures with her current abilities. Her present strength had been accumulated by herself little by little, without any help from anyone.
