The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 1502 – Shen Yanxiao’s Crafty Idea (Chapter 3)

Chapter 1502 – Shen Yanxiao’s Crafty Idea (3)

Of the more than 200 siege weapons lost by the four-nation alliance, more than eighty belonged to the Lan Yue

Dynasty.

Qu Xun’s heart was bleeding. They still had not arrived at The Rising Sun City, and almost half of the siege

weapons in his hands were already consumed!

As a matter of fact, Qu Xun let people pull back all the siege weapons that had been destroyed previously in the

battlefield, and ordered the Forgemen of the army to see if they could still fix them.

But a few broken siege weapons were simply assembled at random. Apparently, it was difficult to repair them into a

complete weapon again, making Qi Xun hopping mad.

The Forgemen went through Qu Xun’s torrent of scolding and they could only immerse themselves in mending the

siege weapons. However, in the face of the siege weapons that were bombarded into a pile of scrap iron by the

artillery, no matter how capable they were, they could do nothing for these hopeless objects.

A night wind blew from behind Qu Xun. He irritatedly turned around, but did not find any figure, so he just

continued to urge the Forgemen to work.

The soldiers guarding around the siege weapons kept their spirits up and paid attention to the movements around

them.

In fact, they were very skeptical that those of the Barren Land would be idiotic enough to want to destroy these

siege weapons.

This was a military camp where three million people were stationed!

Even if the people of the Barren Land had great courage, they should not run here to find death.

The soldiers did not believe that there would be people to destroy the siege weapons, but because of the orders of

the commanders, they had to obediently stand guard here.

In the darkness, only the flames were swaying gently. Each huge siege weapon was covered with a thick and huge

tarp, which blocked its true appearance.

A slight noise sounded.

The soldiers immediately looked at the source of the noise, only to see that the cloth covering the siege weapon was

moving with the wind, and nothing else could be found.

“The night wind in the Barren Land is really damn cold.” A soldier couldn’t help but mutter. He tried to shrink his

neck, lest the cold wind invade his body.

The heavy and thick tarp made waves of noise caused by the blowing of the wind. The soldiers occasionally looked

at it and noticed nothing wrong, so they no longer paid attention to it.

Under the cover of the huge tarp, beneath the siege weapon, hollows appeared all of a sudden.

Six small pits were dug on the ground at the same time. Then, six scrolls appeared out of thin air, and as if there

were six invisible hands holding them, these six scrolls were carefully placed in the pits, after which the pit along

the scrolls had been covered with soil again, as if nothing had ever happened.

The heavy tarpaulin made another noise, but the soldiers had gotten used to it; so, they simply ignored it.

The words written on the abruptly buried scrolls had a hint of magic and were suffused with a golden sheen.

However, since they had been covered with soil, no one noticed anything.

The night winds of the Barren Land were far less mild than in any other areas. Many soldiers had entered their tents

to avoid this cold wind, and only the soldiers guarding the siege weapons held their posts.

The fire swayed gently in the wind without being extinguished. At this time, the camp was a bit empty. Suddenly, a

black triangular piece of cloth floated out of thin air. Under the cover of the night, the black cloth fell quietly on the

fire and burned.

“Idiot.” A voice that was almost obscured by the wind slightly sounded. This small voice was quickly deafened by

the sound of wind.

The soldiers of the Lan Yue Dynasty continued to guard the siege weapons. Listening to the rattling noise of the

heavy tarp shaken by the wind, they shrunk their shoulders and narrowed their eyes, and tried to make their

presence in the wind even smaller.
