The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 1468 – Return of the County Lord (Chapter 1)

Chapter 1468 – Return of the County Lord (1)

The changes in the Barren Land over this year and a half had shaken the entire Radiance Continent.

No one thought that the former forbidden zone of the continent would now become a territory

inhabited by human beings.

In just over a year, the people’s perspective on the Barren Land had changed and they were now

yearning for it.

There was a legend circulating in the Radiance Continent. It was said that a certain area of the

Barren Land was a paradise for mankind, where the demons never attacked humans.

More and more merchants chose to enter the Barren Land to develop business, and more and

more people were yearning to relocate and live in the Barren Land, where there was no tax, no

oppression, and the stability and prosperity of life had inspired a large number of people.

However, when this happened, the Barren Land had also opened its own screening method.

“Head, there’s another group of people who wants to apply to move in. Have a look.” Vicious Wolf

and Demon Wolf carried a stack of application forms and went to Du Lang, then lay down the

documents in their hands in front of him.

Du Lang was sitting at his desk. He looked at the mountain of application forms and suddenly felt a

headache.

“In accordance with the old rules, call Mild Wolf and the rest to see if there are any talents we can

keep among these people. Our attitude towards the Lan Yue Dynasty is always the same. Do not

recruit any residents over there.” In the past few months, more and more cities around The Rising

Sun City had been opened up, and a large number of people were pouring in. Still, a large part of

the residents were slaves saved from the Forgotten Traces.

Although people from other countries had the idea to move in, Du Lang had carried out a strict

screening.

This territory of the Barren Land could be said to be the private property of Shen Yanxiao. All those

who had made a nal decision to move in would be required to break away from their former

nationality. But despite of that, there were still many people who wanted to settle down here for

good.

Du Lang and others were making a lot of choices every single day.

Compared with the unconcerned slaves, people from other countries would always have some

purpose for coming.

Since Du Lang was responsible for this area, he must keep a tight hold on things.

Not only did they have to check the background of the applicant, but they also had to judge the

ability of the individual. The Rising Sun City now was no longer like it was in the past. It now had

become very powerful. Too many mediocre people entering was only an inconvenience for The

Rising Sun City and the surrounding cities.

What they wanted was elite material, a talented person!

“Third Young Master Qi and the others have gone to the Moon God Continent for a while; I don’t

know when they will come back.” Vicious Wolf thought as he examined the application forms.

“The City Lord should also be returning soon, right?” Demon Wolf raised his head and said.

“You should now call her County Lord.” Du Lang laughed. Shen Yanxiao already owned half of the

Barren Land. As the demons used to treat Shen Yanxiao from the very beginning, she had now truly

become a County Lord!

All the cities of the Barren Land under the name of Shen Yanxiao were acquired by Qi Xia from the

hands of the Emperor of Long Xuan Empire by some means of negotiation.

It could be said that the Barren Land had now truly become the possession of Shen Yanxiao. She

had left the control of the Long Xuan Empire and her Barren Land territory had become an

independent region.

Just like the God’s Domain.

“Hehe, right! She’s now a County Lord!” Vicious Wolf foolishly smiled.

“Head!!” Just as the three people were talking, Wild Wolf rushed in.

“I received Third Young Master’s news! Look!” Wild Wolf gasped for breath, hurriedly walked over to

Du Lang, and shoved a small note into Du Lang’s hand.

Du Lang quickly glanced at it and stood up from his position!
