The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 1257 – The Danger Concealed Within The Elves (Chapter 3)

Chapter 1257 – The Danger Concealed Within The Elves (3)

“You saw it.” Elder Yue stood by Shen Yanxiao. Seeing Shen Yanxiao’s focused and doubtful sight, his eyes had a

hint of praise.

“What is that?” Shen Yanxiao looked at Elder Yue with suspicion. After an elf died, there should be no such

situation.

“Pollution.”

“Pollution?”

Elder Yue nodded. His gaze swept across all of the crystal coffins placed in the basement, and there was a trace of

sadness in his eyes.

“I don’t know when it started, but there are already these many elves whose source of life had been polluted. These

pollutants have changed the nature of the elves. As you said, the elves used to be very kind and simple, but since

this pollution spread, more and more elves have been influenced by the negative emotions born in one’s heart. Once

the negative emotions reached the limit, the source of life will not be able to withstand the power of pollution, and

the elf will die. Shui Ling is a polluted elf. The reason why he died is probably because after losing under your

hands, the hatred in his heart gave birth to the spread of pollution…”

“What is this pollution? Why does it have such a big impact on the elves?” Shen Yanxiao was completely

astonished. No wonder she felt that the elves of the Moon God Continent were completely different from the elves

in the legends. These elves no longer had the original nature of the elves.

Elder Yue explained everything with a low voice.

Not a single elf knew where the pollution came from, and no one knew how it got its way into the elves’ body.

It just appeared silently. At first, the elves of the Moon God Continent did not discover the existence of pollution.

However, more and more elves started to harbor negative emotions such as vanity, aggression, envy, selfrighteousness…

These natures, which should not have existed among the elves, gradually appeared in some elves. At first, only a

small part of the elves was infected by these emotions, but later, more and more elves had been affected by them.

The elves didn’t know that all of this was the effect of pollution. In doubt, they moved towards the unknown future.

It wasn’t until a polluted elf died because he couldn’t bear the ugliness of his heart any longer that this matter caught

the attention of Moonshine City, and then several more died inexplicably.

On their corpses, one could find the same black line of blood like the one on Shui Ling’s neck.

These black lines of blood were the symbol of pollution.

It then finally dawned on the elves of Moonshine City that there was a terrible thing eroding their source of life.

“Why are their remains being concealed here?” Shen Yanxiao was very surprised to know everything. Elder Yue’s

news finally made her understand why the elves were so different from the legends.

Elder Yue smiled bitterly and replied, “We can’t let all the elves know about pollution. It will cause panic and

suspicion among them, and these negative emotions are likely to accelerate the spread of pollution. Therefore, their

remains are being hidden in here.”

“At the moment, we don’t have a way to determine which elves have been polluted. We also don’t know if this

pollution is contagious. We can only conceal it for now.” Shui Ling was not the first elf to die in the advanced

training camp. In every crystal coffin here lay an elf who had died in the advanced training camp because of

pollution.

This matter was not known to others and was secretly handled by a team of elf guards under Elder Yue.

In order to prevent the elves from being thrown into panic, Elder Yue could only make this decision.
