The three returned to the bureau again, and Lu Jia’er sat on the sofa in Xu Lei’s office to carefully read the transcript of the trial and the psychological profile.

Xu Lei sat at his desk to handle official business, but occasionally looked up at Lu Jia’er. Although the woman’s temperament was cold, her facial features were very beautiful. At this moment, she reached out and stroked her hair backward, revealing her lovely ears, and her appearance had become truly tender.

Half an hour later, Lu Jia’er looked up, stood, and took the trial record in her hand as she went to the desk. She said to Xu Lei, “Deputy Captain Xu, please check the record here, don’t you think it is a bit strange?”

“We have also doubted it at first, but after we conducted a site investigation, we made sure that except for those of the two sisters, there were no fingerprints or traces of a third person!” He said after reading a few lines of words pointed out by Lu Jia’er. Xu Lei gazed at the transcript placed on the table.

“No third person?” Lu Jia’er murmured.

“Yes, there was no third person. The autopsy report also proves that the strength used to dismember the body is that of a woman.” Xu Lei said.

Lu Jia’er slightly frowned. She felt something was wrong with the place she had pointed out just now.

Xu Lei looked at Lu Jia’er, “It is already been six o’clock. Professor Lu, shall we have a meal together before we continue the discussion!”

Lu Jia’er raised her hand and looked at her watch. It was already six ten. “I have something to do. I will leave first. I will go and see the sisters tomorrow morning after class.” she said.

Xu Lei stood up and said, “Okay, Professor Lu, you can contact Zhu Yu directly before you go tomorrow. She will cooperate with you fully!”

After Lu Jia’er exited the provincial public security department, she drove to a cake shop and a florist, then went straight home.

Today was Su Han’s birthday. As a roommate, she had the responsibility to help her have a happy birthday. This was what Su Han had always said, so she remembered such an important matter regardless of how busy she was.

Originally, she wanted to go out and dine with Su Han, but Su Han said that she could not bear to leave Amy who accompanied her day and night. Since she was so loving, Lu Jia’er also did as she had requested.

As soon as she entered the house, Lu Jia’er thought that she had come to the wrong place. There were colorful balloons floating on the ceiling, and came a good smell of food from the kitchen.

“You’ve bought me some flowers?” Su Han saw Lu Jia’er return and went straight to her.

“The cake is for you, and the flowers are for Amy!” Lu Jia’er replied.

Su Han pouted. Lu Jia’er smiled, and then handed the flowers to her and said, “Happy Birthday!”

“Thank you, my darling, I love you the most!” Su Han smiled cheerfully and thanked Lu Jia’er. The voice was like that made to dote on a boyfriend, which made Lu Jia’er get goosebumps.

Lu Jia’er also gave the cake to her so she could take off the high heels and put on slippers from the shoe cabinet. After washing her hands, Lu Jia’er went straight to the dining room and saw on the table that there were two dishes and one bowl of soup, which were all in a new style and gave off a good smell. Her stomach growled and Lu Jia’er grabbed a pair of chopsticks and tried her first bite.

After the taste, Lu Jia’er could not help but praise, “Amy’s cooking has become an impetus of mine to return home early every day!”
