Jin Xianglan gazed at him. She could tell that Lu Jia’er had not told him the secret yet. “We never treated her like a machine.” Jin Xianglan said.

“Then let her go!” Jin Xiangdong repeated.

“Sure. But first, put down your guns!” Jin Xianglan tried to persuade them.

Lu Jia’er stared at Jin Xianglan. “You will not spare me.” She sounded detached.

Lu Jia’er’s words quickly caught the attention of Jin Xiangdong and Jin Xianglan.

Jin Xianglan put a smile on her face with a calculating expression. “I will let you go for the sake of my little brother.”

But Lu Jia’er was not convinced. How would the father and daughter let her go when she knew their secret? They would delete everything she knew if not destroying her.

“On what condition?” Lu Jia’er glared at Jin Xianglan.

“We don’t talk about conditions since we are a family.” Jin Xianglan replied.

Lu Jia’er found those words full of irony. She could not help but sneer. “Are we a family?”
