The CEO's Villainess Childhood Friend Chapter 90 – The First Step to Counterattack(Chapter 1)

Chapter 90: The First Step to Counterattack(1)

After hanging up, Ye Peicheng casually put away his phone, glanced towards Qiao Moyu and lightly called: “Let’s go.”

Qiao Moyu noticed his call and followed after him. The two of them went backstage together.

At the front of the stage, the lights shone down as the director led the actors out.

All of the fans were dressed in the same costumes as the characters in drama. Since “Sheng Shi” had already aired its finale, it was a time where everyone was immersed in the drama but were unwilling to part with it. As a result, the fans below the stage erupted in excitement.

It should be mentioned that Xing Wanshuang’s team had learned their lesson when Qiao Moyu ended up taking the limelight from them. So this time, they prepared well. Xing Wanshuang’s fans came in crowds, every single one of them filled with enthusiasm. For a moment, it was as if the venue had become her hometown.

On the other hand, Qiao Moyu’s side appeared somewhat cold and cheerless.

The interview and interaction segment was held at the front of the stage. Since this was a thank-you meeting, this was more moderate and organized compared to the previous fan meeting that was filled with publicity.

It wasn’t until the interaction segment that the atmosphere among the fans reached its climax.

Since there wasn’t enough space on this side of the venue, it was proposed to continue the event on the other side. Just as the crowd was about to leave, a staff member came to Qiao Moyu’s side and whispered to her, “Miss Qiao, President Xing wants to see you. He’s waiting for you there.”

Qiao Moyu looked curiously at the woman before her and then glanced at Xing Wanshuang who stood at the front of the stage. Xing Wanshuang turned her face slightly. Although she seemed to be talking to the director, she was actually looking in her direction.

In an instant, Qiao Moyu’s and Xing Wanshuang’s eyes locked. Rather than panicking, Qiao Moyu decided to follow the woman and pretend to be happy: “Is the CEO there? Does he want to see me now? ”

“Right now.” The woman lightly pursed her lips as she spoke.

Thus, while the cast and crew headed towards the other side of the venue to mingle with fans, Qiao Moyu and Xing Yichen secretly went in another direction.

Qiao Moyu was dressed in an ancient costume with wide sleeves. When she used them to open up her cell phone’s screen, no one noticed at all.

In the past, she once tried using the live broadcast room online. However, since she rarely went on the internet, she only had about a thousand fans.

At that moment, Qiao Moyu quietly logged on and quickly switched to live broadcast mode.

She walked all the way through the dark alley and arrived at the place that the woman had pointed out.

Under the dim light, a man stood with his back facing Qiao Moyu. He stood tall and straight, his clothing showing off his elite physique.

Was Xing Yichen really there? Qiao Moyu didn’t believe so. Her gaze swept up and down, but she didn’t find anything special. As such, she still needed to further verify the other person’s intentions.

“I wonder what President Xing wants from me? What instructions did you have for me?” Qiao Moyu asked loudly.

The man continued to stand with his back facing her. He said indifferently, “Moyu, you told me back then that you always wanted to be with me. I’ll give you this chance right now.”

Qiao Moyu felt even more puzzled. She pretended to be pleasantly surprised and asked, “Really? Then what do you want me to do?”

The man replied: “There’s only the two of us here. Take off your clothes and let me see the imprint on your body.”

‘Hehe, do you really think of me as a fool?’ Qiao Moyu was speechless at how brainless this Xing Wanshuang was. However, when she carefully considered it, this seemed to be the easiest method to tarnish her reputation.

It was obvious that a camera was planted nearby that would record how Qiao Moyu snuck in to see Xing Yichen. This would be evidence that she takes off her clothes to seduce him.

Inevitably, the camera would only record the images without a sound. As a result, Xing Wanshuang can arrange the rest of the lines as she pleases.

Qiao Moyu guessed that this man, who had his back turned towards her, was probably not Xing Yichen. After all, how can the Xing family’s CEO be willing to be the bait for a lowly trap?!
