The CEO's Villainess Childhood Friend Chapter 106 – Investigate the Past (Chapter 1)

Chapter 106: Investigate the Past (1)

Qiao Ruohuan’s heart skipped a beat. Coughing lightly, she smiled at Xing Yichen and said: “Brother Yichen, I never expected Moyu to courageously pursue Ye Peicheng. She seems to really like him! After spending their days together on set, they probably developed a good relationship, so she’s probably trying to show it to everyone now!”

Although her words seemed to be filled with happiness for her sister, it actually focused on the relationship between Qiao Moyu and Ye Peicheng.

Upon hearing this, Xing Yichen looked at Qiao Moyu in disgust.

At this time, the host asked: “Moyu, have you been to the mountains before when you were young? I originally thought that you grew up in the city, so then, how did you learn how to fish in the past?”

When Qiao Moyu realized that Xin Yichen’s gaze bore into her, her heart skipped a beat. Still, she replied: “Actually, I haven’t gone to the mountains often when growing up. At first, I would occasionally sneak out to play outdoors for fun, but when I was 13-years-old, I had an accident in the mountains which cost me half a year of treatment abroad. I’ve never returned since then. Today’s fishing was simply pure luck. You won’t necessarily get to eat a full feast if I fished tomorrow!”

As Xing Yichen listened to her words, his pupils contracted even more. He had always known that Qiao Moyu disappeared for more than half a year when she was 13 years old.

However, back then, the Qiao family only said that she had gone out to learn dancing under a master teacher, so he had not seen her for the later half of the year.

During that time, he hadn’t been searching for the girl who had saved him, so he hadn’t paid much attention to her.

However now, it seems that she didn’t learn dance at 13?

Could it really be a coincidence that Qiao Moyu went to that village in the mountains? Afterall, that was only one mountain near the Qiao family!

But if she did go, why didn’t she say so afterwards!

This matter seemed to have so many suspicious points that Xing Yichen couldn’t help but constantly ponder over it. He didn’t notice at all that Qiao Ruohuan was growing stiffer and stiffer by the second.

The group finally arrived at the hotel safely. The director went to Ye Peicheng’s room to apologize to him and even brought along the village’s Chinese medical doctor to take a look. After confirming that there really were no problems with Ye Peicheng, he felt relieved.

In addition, considering the possibility that there were snakes in the mountains, the program team also went to the villagers to gather plenty of antidotes, along with insect and snake repellents, which they will be sending off with every guest the following day.

At this time, Xing Yichen’s cell phone vibrated. He had just returned to his room, but Qiao Ruohuan sent him a message asking him to come to her room.

The two of them had already announced their engagement, so this wouldn’t affect them in any way.

Because of this, Xing Yichen changed shoes and headed directly to the neighboring room. The moment he entered the room Qiao Ruohuan hooked her arms around his neck.

She kissed him until they were fervent and hot, her hand already exploring under his shirt.

His shirt was unbuttoned by her one buttons at a time. Everywhere she touched seemed to tingle with an electric current.

Xing Yichen embraced her. He set her down on the bed and pressed down on her.

The temperature in the room grew hotter and hotter. Only charming held back cries could be heard. Xing Yichen caressed the scars on Qiao Ruohuan’s wrist. He thought of when he first saw her. She wore a bracelet. On her wrist were burns accumulated over the years.

He didn’t know why, but thinking of Qiao Moyu’s from just then, he grew distracted.

But Qiao Ruohuan was especially enthusiastic today. Soon, his focus was pulled back. When it ended, she climbed out of his embrace to go shower first.

The sound of running water echoed from the bathroom as the emotion in Xing Yichen’s eyes gradually faded.

For some reason, even though he had nothing to do with Qiao Moyu ever since she left abroad at the age of thirteen, he still wanted to know the whole story. “The Qiao family didn’t show their faces in the business circle for more than half a year. Check for me, when Qiao Moyu was 13-years-old, did they take her abroad? What were their activities?”

The assistant didn’t understand his boss’ intention at all, but still replied: “Alright, I’ll go and check it right away.”

“The sooner the better. Notify me of the results immediately,” Xing Yichen ordered. He got dressed and prepared to go back to his room to bathe.
