Chapter 81: Dragon Tiger Sect Retreats

The Green Jade Shrouded in Heavenly Silks was a high-grade masterpiece, and the craftsman who had made it was pleased with the result. Not only was the glove itself capable of increasing the lethality of Shaolin’s Long Fist in Grandmaster Realm, it could also increase speed by 10% and had freezing true qi as an effect. When Happy executed Black Tiger Fist, which was much more lethal than Shaolin’s Long Fist, its effects did not lose to the power contained within high-tier fist techniques.

The Great Wolf winced in pain, and its claws missed. It only struck the spot by Happy’s feet.

Bang!

Dirt and stone flew into the air, and a huge claw mark appeared on the ground.

“How fast…”

Happy looked away, but he was apprehensive. If it were not for the fact that his Cloud Treading Steps had already reached Grandmaster Realm, he might already have a few claw marks on his body. As expected of a savage beast in Blessed Realm!

However, Happy was terrified of the Great Wolf’s speed. With the Green Jade Shrouded in Heavenly Silks, his power was equal to that of a powerful fighter in Blessed Realm. With such strength, there was no way he would have no method to fight a Great Wolf.

Happy clearly knew that the Great Wolf would pause for a moment after each of its attacks. During the moment it moved back, Happy tapped against the ground and arrived in front of the beast at an even faster speed. He was so fast that Eastern Eastern Gate, Whirlwind Young Li, and Azure Wolf did not notice when he moved.

At that moment, the Great Wolf had just retracted its claws and had not yet gathered its power for a new attack!

Black Tiger Steals Heart!

The Great Wolf’s waist was heavily wounded, and the beast froze for a moment. Even though its limbs were all on the ground and its claws had sank deep into the earth, the force of the attack had been so great that it was pushed back again. It turned its head to the side in pain, and the red in its eyes became even more prominent.

“Careful!”

The wind whistled, and the Great Wolf’s claws missed their target again. Happy moved like a viverrid. He tumbled and jumped several feet, and with a turn, he landed on the branch of a tree that was twenty feet tall. Then, he tapped against the trunk and shot down like a cannonball toward the Great Wolf.

Roar!

There was black aura around his fist and a barely audible tiger’s roar that could be heard when he punched outward. It hit the Great Wolf’s head, and the beast looked as if it had been hit by a bolt of lightning. Its head turned to the side in a very unnatural manner, and the momentum dragged its huge body to perform a half turn. Blood gushed into the air, and the wolf slammed into the ground violently.

This scene was witnessed by a group of people who had walked out of the dark forest. The consecutive sharp intakes of breath and the sound of people coming to a stop alerted Eastern Green Gate, Whirlwind Young Li, and Azure Wolf, who were watching the fight.

“Who is it?!”

They drew their weapons, becoming extremely wary.

“Don’t-Don’t misunderstand.”

The person who had walked out of the forest was someone they knew—Dragon Tiger Sect’s vice sect master, Long Meng! He had a slightly panicked, awkward, and bashful smile on his face. He stared at the Great Wolf who was sent rolling away, unable to hide the shock and fear in his eyes.

The group of people who had walked out of the dim forest stared at the human and wolf with disbelief on their faces. They could not stop gulping.

A Great Wolf…

“It’s you!”

Even though Long Meng and the others did not bring out their weapons, the trio became even more nervous. They had thought that Heaven Domination Sect had come seeking revenge, but they did not think that it was a small world they lived in. While Happy was busy dealing with the Great Wolf and did not have time for anything else, they ran into people from Dragon Tiger Sect, and among them was Vice Sect Master Long Meng, with whom they had clashed before.

“Stay there!” Whirlwind Young Li shouted and made the group of people stop in their tracks. “If you take one more step forward, don’t blame me for being hard on you!”

“Don’t misunderstand. We’re not here looking for trouble. We just came here to ask some questions. Did you run into people from Heaven Domination Sect? This is what happened…”

Long Meng cast a glance at Happy. When he saw that he did not seem to plan to stop fighting any time soon, he relaxed a little and quickly stopped walking to provide an explanation, because he was afraid that the other party would misunderstand.

Eastern Green Gate, Whirlwind Young Li, and Azure Wolf looked at each other with strange expressions on their faces.

“Does that mean you’re seeking revenge against Heaven Domination Sect?”

“That’s right.”

Long Meng’s expression became slightly relaxed. He nodded repeatedly.

“If you saw them, do tell us. If you didn’t, we won’t bother you. We’ll leave straight away.”

“Vice sect master, this is a good chance.”

At that moment, a person beside Long Meng whispered a suggestion to him.

Happy, who had three companions in Gate Realm, was busy with a Great Wolf, while Dragon Tiger Sect had brought more than eighty people with them. If they surrounded Happy and his group, not only would they be able to kill Happy and wipe away the stain on their lives, they would also be able to kill a Great Wolf.

“Shut up!” Long Meng refuted the speaker’s words with a hiss while glaring at him.

At that moment, Whirlwind Young Li’s answer reached his ears.

“If you’re looking for the people from Heaven Domination Sect who killed your men just now, please go back, they’re no longer here.”

“They’re not here?” Long Meng was stunned. Soon though, he understood the underlying meaning behind Whirlwind Young Li’s profound tone and smug expression. He could not help but ask, “Then they…”

“Are dead.” Eastern Green Gate brought out the foldable fan from his waist and said with a smile, “If you go back to the city, you might run into them.”

“A reminder to all of you. They were killed by senior brother alone. We didn’t have anything to do with their deaths,” Azure Wolf could not help but add, causing Whirlwind Young Li and Eastern Green Gate to glare at him. They had wanted to share some of the glory as well, but this brat…

The group from Dragon Tiger Sect was instantly speechless…

They believed that the trio would not easily lie about something like this.

For one, Haply did indeed have the ability to do something like that. He had once killed quite a number of their men in Black Wind Mountain, and even their sect master had returned defeated…

Second, on their way there, wherever they went, it was quiet. They did not manage to see anyone from Heaven Domination Sect.

Finally, even though he was surrounded by so many people, Happy continued fighting against the Great Wolf while retaining great composure. He looked relaxed, as if he was completely unbothered and unworried, which could only mean one thing.

When the Dragon Tiger Sect member who had suggested to wipe them out thought about this in depth, he tucked his head in embarrassment. An unnaturally pale color appeared on his face, and he quietly took two steps back from his original spot at the front.

Long Meng also wiped off imaginary cold sweat in his heart!

Fortunately, their sect master had repeatedly reminded them that they were not to get into even the slightest conflict with Happy. Nangong Ying had also told the higher management in the sect one thing: Happy had easily become the champion in the offline martial arts tournament despite having had to fight against three Blessed Realm players!

If they had acted a little rashly today, their brothers, which numbered fewer than one hundred people, would have ended up like Heaven Domination Sect—they would have been sacrificed and have become Happy’s stepping stones for nothing.

“Um…” Long Meng hesitated a moment before he took two steps forward to shout at the person fighting ahead of them. “I, Vice Sect Master Long Meng of Dragon Tiger Sect, would like to thank Noble Sword User Happy on behalf of my sect brothers. Lord Noble Sword User, I hope that you will be generous in your heart and not take our past disrespect and rudeness toward you to heart. I, Long Meng, will leave now.”

He knew that Happy would most likely ignore him, so once he finished speaking, he turned away and led the people from Dragon Tiger Sect out of the forest. They moved like a retreating tide.

When they saw Dragon Tiger Sect leave so peacefully, Eastern Green Gate, Whirlwind Young Li, and Azure Wolf found the situation slightly unbelievable.

Even though the sect master of Dragon Tiger Sect had notified the whole city that he would not be enemies with Happy, the trio were a little skeptical. However, they chose not to attack even when such a good chance was present. By the looks of it, Dragon Tiger Sect truly wanted to make up for what they had done previously…

As they watched Dragon Tiger Sect leave the area, the trio turned their heads around and cast a glance at Happy, who continued to his fierce battle against the Great Wolf. The trio looked at each other and smiled.

“Looks like we just need to mention Senior Brother Happy’s name next time, and we’ll be able to do as we want in Gusu City.”

“Heh heh, you’re right.”

“… What?”

“Dream on.”

Happy might have been fighting against the Great Wolf, but he did not ignore what went on at the trio’s side. When he heard their words, he could not help but chuckle.

“The leader of Dragon Tiger Sect is smart. He knows that he should turn his enemies into friends. This is a very wise way to eliminate your enemies. If you run into dumb people, you’ll end up fighting them until one side dies. It’d be best if you said you don’t know me in the future.”

When he remembered some of the people he met in the past, Happy could not help but give them a warning.
