Sword Among Us Chapter 699 – The Tragedy of the Chinese World of Martial Artists in Happy’s Previous Life

Chapter 699: The Tragedy of the Chinese World of Martial Artists in Happy’s Previous Life

In truth, Snow Spirit had never left the river.

Even though she did not have any problems with the fake Xu Zhiling, when she approached the riverbank, she suddenly saw a large group of martial artists impatiently getting on boats, and she could not help but think of a few things.

She had a certain degree of understanding toward the plot of Twin of Brothers.

Bright Sword Sect’s Sect Master Fu Cailin was the person with the greatest authority in Goryeo and an elite respected by the people, but there were many such elites in the Chinese world of martial artists.

Empress Yin Zhu Yuyan, Heaven Saber Song Que, Evil King Shi Zhixuan, Martial Paragon Bi Xuan, Kind Boathouse’s Fan Qinghui, the strongest in Dao Sect, Ning Daoqi, and the rest.

Compared to the sole Myth Realm sect master in Goryeo, there were many elites in the Chinese world of martial artists, and the players there could have a lot of fortunate encounters.

But that was not the only thing that attracted Snow Spirit’s attention. She was actually an inner sect disciple of the greatest sect in Goryeo, Bright Sword Sect and the granddaughter of Samsung Group’s director. She set up a Tristar Sword Sect in Goryeo and gathered a lot of elites together to occupy an entire area in Goryeo.

It was precisely because of the resources she controlled in Goryeo that she was able to gain a full understanding of the Chinese world of martial artists, which had a lot more resources and quests. It was a place full of hidden potential and resources.

She became sure of it when she witnessed how refined equipment was a common sight in the Chinese server through some of the collaborations between her sect and Towering Palace. The Chinese server’s refined equipment far surpassed Goryeo’s!

She could clearly sense that the resources controlled by the four top-class sects in the Chinese server was something Goryeo could not imagine or compare to.

When Snow Spirit entered this land, she could sense the passion and enthusiasm of the world of martial artists even stronger than before.

The competition in the Chinese world of martial artists was even more complicated and brutal than in Goryeo. When she was here, she could sense that she had an endless amount of energy and imagination.

She had to admit that the Chinese world of martial artists was even more attractive than the one in Goryeo in all aspects. Hence, she used the excuse that she was carrying out a quest to stay in the coastal area.

In truth, she actually was thinking of setting foot in this place to become someone like Happy, Dream Clouds, the Music sisters, and Wind Void, who could control the Chinese server.

So when she faced the Chinese martial artists fervent pursuit after Eunuch Yang’s Warehouse, a crazed and evil thought bloomed in her: she would wait until two parties fought against each other, then her three underlyings would go to the bottom of the river and loot the spoils.

Snow Spirit loved the feeling of controlling everything from behind the scenes and toying with the heroes of the world.

She was especially excited when she learned that Happy, the leader of Mu Clan and the strongest player in the Chinese server, was among the people on the pleasure boat. The thought to use him began to grow uncontrollably, and it gave birth to her plan.

But she did not expect that Happy would recognize her people from when they visited the pleasure boat, and he even mentioned her name.

Snow Spirit had not even gone down the river, but she already felt like someone had poured cold water over her head, and it was so cold that she felt as if she was in an ice cave.

Snow Spirit, who always had a great understanding over the movements of the Chinese world of martial artists, knew what would happen to her if her identity was revealed. Not only would her operation fail completely, she might also not be able to continue staying in China as Snow Spirit.

Happy’s warning was loud and clear.

Within one day, she had to leave China!

If it were a threat from anyone else, even if it came from Class One Hall, Snow Spirit was confident that through the balance between different factions of power, she would be able to ingeniously protect herself.

But in the current Chinese world of martial artists, she could not find a power that could balance Mu Clan, and she could not find anyone who could temporarily control Happy.

Wandering Know-it-all was a legend in China.

There was no one who could hide from his Universe Secrets Inkstone in the Chinese world of martial artists.

Snow Spirit did not even hear what Happy said later on. The man whose identity was exposed on the pleasure boat was thrust through by a sword and thrown into the river.

The pleasure boats full of martial artists turned around and left.

They could sense the cold killing intent coming from the large pleasure boat very clearly!

The people in the river also sensed that the atmosphere outside was even colder than when they were in the river. All of them paddled away from the large pleasure boat.

The river became calm once more.

But Happy did not manage to calm down even after a long time had passed.

Someone had violated his taboo, and it was very difficult for him to let go of it.

He might not like foreign players and foreign factions of power, but he would not intentionally pick on them and kill them as quickly as he could because of some normal conflicts.

But the Chinese world of martial artists was very complicated and brutal, and there were still foreign players who came over to cause trouble by doing incredibly baffling things. They stirred up strife shamelessly and fanned the flames.

It was because of such people who did everything they could for their own benefits that the Chinese server, which should have progressed much faster than other regions and been ahead of the entire world in World of Martial Artists, found itself engaged in all sorts of bloody conflicts and baffling fights that started during the second year of the game. The players were all involved in various fights that they could not get out of even if they wanted to.

Each different fight had the shadow of a large sect like Class One Hall, along with the influence of some foreign organizations.

After each fight, some of the foreign factions of power would grow swiftly, which was the reason why during the third year, some foreign factions of power had managed to catch up to China’s rhythm.

It was precisely because of this reason that World of Martial Arts organized the international martial arts tournament known as Sword Among Us tournament. It was due to the pressure and demands from all sides.

It was the greatest martial arts tournament in the game. Even though it witnessed the mightiest moment of all of the martial arts in the world, to some of the elites in the Chinese server, the organization of this grand event made the reputation of the Chinese server plummet to the ground.

Many of the elites never joined the Sword Among Us tournament. They had noticed the despicable methods and acts taken by some of the foreign factions of power, and they did not want to be part of their world.

Such actions allowed Happy to make his way to the top victorious!

*****

In this life, the seed of revenge had been buried deep in Happy’s heart, but he also did not want to see the tragedy of his previous life happen again!

Right now, the Chinese world of martial arts was no longer the same as it was in his previous life.

The four top-class sects each occupied an area, and whoever formed an alliance with any foreign faction of power would find Happy using every method he could possibly take to interfere with their actions without hesitation.

Happy no longer acted like in his previous life. He did not focus solely on training like a normal university student.

He was the leader of Mu Clan and the strongest player in the Chinese world of martial artists.

It was an honor, but also a responsibility.

Happy stared at the pleasure boats gradually leaving into the distance, and his emotions slowly calmed down. He returned to the hall and changed to Xu Zhiling’s appearance.

He knew that Snow Spirit would not earnestly leave China.

Not only would she be reluctant to give up on the resources and fortuitous events in China, but she would also not be willing to give up on the promise Xu Zhiling might give her—Fu Juncao’s relics.

She would definitely think of a way to continue staying in China to learn a few of the ultimate techniques from Bright Sword Sect.

Happy did not wish for Snow Spirit to meet the real Xu Zhiling.

Flap, flap, flap!

A few minutes later, a snow white messenger pigeon flew into the sky from the pleasure boat.
