Happy seized the time lag that occurred when Yang Xuyan decided to provide support and used his full strength without hesitation against the evil cult elder. Joined Finger, Petite Dragon, and Dragon Capture all were used one after another.

Even though the effect of Dragon Capture on an Inaction Realm martial artist was very weak, it could interrupt their attack rhythm and momentum. Once Happy dissolved those two, he could attack his opponent’s shaky body fortification with Joined Finger at a close distance.

There was a low sonic boom that echoed in the air, and the evil cult elder’s face turned pale. He took a few steps back, and a bloody trail flowed out of the corner of his mouth. His face was twisted in a very terrifying manner.

“I see, it’s the Murong Clan’s ultimate technique, Joined Finger! As expected of the finger technique that once dominated the world…”

While the evil cult elder spoke, he pushed forward, and two qi waves with the power of an avalanche crashed into Happy’s chest.

Happy said nothing, not bothering to waste his breath. He had destroyed the evil cult elder’s body fortification before Yang Xuyan had even reached him.

Happy did not panic even when he faced the pincer attack. He closed his eyes, spread his arms, and two finger-generated gusts of wind shot out from his sleeves.

Joined Finger!

He attacked with both hands, and the two finger-generated gusts of wind shot toward the duo without a single sound.

At the same time, he activated Golden Bell Cocoon!

Clang!

A rich and fiery red hue instantly rose from Happy’s body, and it was just in time to catch the evil cult elder’s palm-generated wind that came charging at him fiercely.

In a flash, Yang Xuyan sensed a fatal threat coming at him. His sword momentum changed, and he perfectly deflected Happy’s finger attack while airborne.

Happy lamented over that.

‘As expected of the disciple Shi Zhixuan acknowledged. His abilities are indeed extraordinary.’

However, while Yang Xuyan managed to avoid the finger attack, it was impossible for the evil cult elder to do so.

Happy’s Golden Bell Cocoon shuddered violently, but he remained undamaged under the elder’s palm-generated wind. However, the evil cult elder was struck with the full force of Happy’s Joined Finger.

The spot at the center of his chest sank. The elder stared at Happy and Yang Xuyan in disbelief. The muscles on his face twitched. He turned around and tried to flee, but he did not expect that once he moved, a black mouthful of blood would leave him. He staggered a few feet forward before he fell on the ground. The black blood spilled all over, creating a terrifying sight to behold.

“Brother Yang, it’s your turn now.”

“Hmph!”

When Yang Xuyan saw that his companion had died, there was not a hint of sadness on his face. He was incredibly callous and moved more than thirty feet backward with great resolution.

His voice came from a distance. “Happy, don’t you dare think that the elites from the evil cult are so easily killed. Someone will naturally come and make you pay for what you did today… Farewell!”

Once he finished speaking, he shot into the crowd like a phantom and vanished without a trace.

Happy said nothing, and neither did he chase after him. He stood where he was indifferently while watching Yang Xuyan leave into the distance. The man was, after all, a famous assassin, so his speed was astonishing. He was much faster than a normal Inaction Realm martial artist, which meant that Happy could just give up on the thought to compete with him in terms of speed.

Anyway, he did not suffer any losses. He was the one to kill one of his ambushers.

Happy turned around and cast his gaze on the evil cult elite, who was sprawled on the ground.

There were hundreds of players surrounding him. They were originally just passing by the area, but when they saw Happy approach the evil cult elite’s corpse, their eyes filled with envy and a myriad of other emotions.

Inaction Realm martial artists were far beyond their reach, but Happy had managed to kill one of them, even though he was at the same realm as they were. There was just no way they would not be shocked and full of emotion after seeing that.

But fortunately, since Happy was able to do it even though he was only at Life and Death Realm, it meant that other players were not without hope of winning against such NPCs as well. Even if they could not get an ultimate technique manual, as their qi realms increased, they would get martial art manuals that were of higher grade, and they would get them infinitesimally closer to the ultimate techniques.

Happy picked up the loot from the evil cult elite before he turned around to approach the Hoof Shadow’s carcass.

The horse had followed him for half a year…

He brought out the Horse Plate that belonged to his Hoof Shadow, sighed softly, and put away the carcass into the plate. Then, he dug a grave on the ground, buried the plate, and left as if he was drifting.

Once Happy was gone, the players nearby instantly burst into a commotion.

They talked about the battle just then and commented about the heights of Happy’s power, while some praised his act of burying his Horse Plate.

“As expected of the top-ranked player on Famous People Rank and a disciple of the Murong Clan.”

“He buried his horse in sorrow. Happy is a man who follows his heart.”

Many of the horses who died in the game were ignored. They vanished with the other corpses when the area renewed itself. There were very few players who cherished the memory they shared with their steeds after the battle had ended.

Happy naturally did not know that once his action was uploaded on the official website, many players began to imitate him. They began to treasure the steeds who fought with them, and the trend even spread to foreign players.

When Happy reached Phoenix Sun County and found Beggar’s Sect’s branch, he realized that there was something off about the place. He sensed a wary atmosphere around him, but once he stated his identity, he was brought to a very normal medicine hall by the side by a Beggar’s Sect disciple.

When he entered, he discovered to his surprise that there were people from Ming Cult as well as Song Yuanqiao with a group of Wudang Sect fighters inside. They looked dishevelled, their aura was weak, and they sat meditating in a full room. A few people who looked like doctors observed them, but it looked like they could do nothing about the situation.

“Young Swordsman Happy, you came at the perfect timing,” Branch Master Chen Youliang said after walking in. He looked upright and honorable, so it was very difficult for anyone to dislike him based on his face.

Happy suppressed his opinions of the man, however, and wrapped his fist in his palm to greet him patiently. “I received a letter from your sect master and immediately rushed over here. Nothing major happened, right?”

“We’re alright, but a few days ago, Ming Cult’s branch was ambushed, and the group from Wudang Sect was also struck. Our disciples could not watch this happen, so we took the initiative to help them and brought them over to our branch, which was originally supposed to be hidden.

“But in my opinion, the evil cult elites have been investigating the city lately, and they might be thinking about uncovering us. They have come very close to us.”

Chen Youliang quickly told Happy of the situation in the branch, and Happy’s heart tensed.

“What’s wrong with them?” he asked and pointed at Song Yuanqiao, who was so weak that he was practically unconscious.

Chen Youliang’s expression was solemn as he sighed.

“We asked many famous physicians to take a look at Song Yuanqiao and the others. Physician Wang knows about Song Yuanqiao and the others’ condition better, so it’d be best if he spoke to you.”

Chen Youliang moved to the side, and an elderly physician with a medicinal box walked forth from behind him.

The physician had a grave expression on his face as he stroked his nearly bare white beard. “Great Hero Song is in the same condition as the Ming Cult disciples. He was ambushed by the evil cult elites, and his injuries are very strange. It seems like they were affected by poison, but it’s not that.

“Song Yuanqiao is also suffering from internal injuries, and all of which can be fatal. They are very difficult to cure, and my skills are only average, so I can only heal those internal injuries.

“If I wanted to get rid of that poison-like substance, I would need to get the sacred medicine that can cure all poison—Seven Star Beauty Orchid Grass. If I mixed it with some of the medicine I made, perhaps I would be able to save their lives.”

Happy was rendered speechless. When he heard the doctor’s speech, he sucked in a deep breath, feeling dazed. He did not expect that Song Yuanqiao and the others’ condition would be this bad!
