During the period of time Happy concentrated on practicing Joined Finger, some major events occurred in the game related to the evil cult.

Before the event in Hero’s Mountain Villa ended, the elites of the evil cult appeared in the land. They attacked the disciples from the sects who had strayed off from their group and even gathered together in large groups to attack the forces of the major sects.

Signs of evil cult members could be seen all around the six great sects.

Some of the branches of Ming Cult and Beggar’s Sect were also attacked by the evil cult, and they suffered heavy losses.

The world of martial artists was unstable, and everyone was ill at ease!

At that moment, sects that were originally absent from the game suddenly appeared. Many of the newcomers who entered World of Martial Arts joined those new sects.

Among them were Flowers Sect, Yin Weed Sect, Sky Demon Sect, Heaven Repairer Dao, and other evil cults. There were also Song House, Stone Dragon Dao, Great Whale Sect, Roc Faction, along with the incredibly mysterious Kind Boathouse, which was located somewhere in the world of martial artists.

What attracted the people’s attention the most was naturally Kind Boathouse. Not only were they rumored to only accept female disciples, they also only accepted disciples with incredibly high Comprehension.

As of then, there was still no one who said that they had managed to join Kind Boathouse.

There were also many changes that appeared along with the appearance of the sects. Suddenly, rebels fighting against the army of the imperial court happened all the time.

The appearance of the rebel army caused World of Martial Arts, which had not completely progressed out of the plot of Heavenly Sword and Dragon, to instantly enter the era in which the rebel army rose to power and extinguished the Sui Dynasty.

The plot of Twin of Brothers started everywhere on the land, and countless scenes of people fighting against each other could be seen!

Warlords all over the land began to divide their territory with force!

There was the Song House, which rose to power by selling weapons, the Yuwen House, which was created by General Yuwen Hua of the imperial court, and Li House, which recently rose to power out of nowhere.

The new and old players rushed to search for different quests from different factions in the hopes of being able to be part of the plot and do some of the hidden quests that came with Twin of Brothers.

Xu Zhiling and Kou Zhong were naturally the most important characters, and they became the focus of many people.

Also, Eunuch Yang’s Warehouse, which was rumored to be able to destroy the Sui Dynasty, was also an important plot point. It attracted many players and sects into searching for it.

There were actually quite a few people who went ahead to that place and searched through it completely, but they obtained nothing. Instead, they became the subject of a lot of mockery.

There were also a lot of people who gained a lot of rewards from the new developments.

Flowers Sect’s Womanizer Hou Xibai (he gained his nickname because he went to all sorts of brothels) was the successor of Flowers Sect’s Shi Zhixuan. There were a few beautiful female players who caught his attention, and they gained a title in the game because of it.

One of them was a female disciple from Emei Sect who was charming and as beautiful as an immortal. She had long, silky hair that reached her waist. Her waist was thin, and her body long. She had a natural charm to her, and many men found her sexy. Once she came to know Hou Xibai, she gained the name Blue Phoenix Immortal, and she was fortunate enough to become part of Hou Xibai’s Beauty Fan!

Due to Blue Phoenix Immortal’s fate, World of Martial Arts was shocked!

Many of the girls in reality who had not joined the game because of lack of interest entered it, and a few world-class beauties appeared. They gained Hou Xibai’s attention after they presented themselves to him in different fashions.

There were a few examples of beautiful female players’ names not only spreading far and wide through the game, but also reality. Their battle replays were sold like hot cakes on the pay-to-view battle replay system.

Hou Xibai had accidentally triggered the beauty contest by choosing girls to join his Beauty Fan. While it was only one of the segments in the plot, it started a new trend in World of Martial Arts.

A lof of the media even in the outside world realized its effect and power. Some people began hosting their beauty contests in the game, and some of them stated that they would have NPCs serve as judges to show that they were fair and to attract attention.

But unfortunately for them, NPC Hou Xibai regarded their beauty contest in disdain. Even though the beauty contests that were organized later ended in a rather tragic fashion, the TV stations managed to gain astonishing viewership counts. They became famous in one go, and it could be considered as another form of success.

Tang Feng, hall master of Assassin Hall who had rich experience in assassation, unintentionally found Shadow Assassin Yang Xuyan’s tracks and received a Shadow Killing Sword Technique.

The naturally coquettish Wan Wan, successor of Yin Weed Faction’s Empress Yin, also appeared in the game a few times. Every time she showed up, she only had a chiffon covering her body. She had delicate curves and fair skin, which made her an alluring vixen who always went barefoot. Everytime she appeared, she would shock everyone in the game, and many people in cities idolized her madly.

Even though Wan Wan would always kill a few people whenever she appeared, it did not reduce the passionate idolization the people had for her.

The idol effect was also present during ancient times.

However, up till then, the disciple from Kind Boathouse and Da Jia of Extravagantly Great Tang had not appeared.

Or else, there might be entire streets empty of people.

Flap, flap, flap!

Happy sparred with the four abandoned disciples of Sword Sect as usual to practice his Joined Finger, but a messenger pigeon flapped its wings for a long time before it landed on his shoulder.

When Happy opened it, he instantly scowled.

It was news from the Murong Clan, and Master Murong had even personally written the letter.

Recently, many of the branches of Beggar’s Sect were attacked by the elites from the evil cult. Guo Jing and the others had been working themselves down to the bone, but they did not manage to stop the enemy, because they only ever found the mooks and never their leader. Huang Rong believed that there were spies from the evil cult watching every action from Guo Jing and his group, which was why she decided to ask for help from Happy.

Her request was rather simple.

They obtained news that the evil cult seemed to be heading to a branch that had been destroyed some time ago, and they wanted Happy to head to Phoenix Sun County within three days. He was to search for the branch Beggar’s Sect had set up through the unique mark Beggar’s Sect left behind and protect the branch master Chen Youliang.

‘At this time?’

Happy truly did not want to leave and delay the mastering of Joined Finger.

But he did owe a favor to Beggar’s Sect. If he did not accept their quest, his relationship with Beggar’s Sect might turn incredibly sour. Master Murong had also given him a few reminders telling him to immediately head to Phoenix Sun County to complete the quest.

Hence, it was a quest that he had to accept and complete!

If he did not complete it, the results would be very terrible.

Happy laughed wanly and immediately circulated his qi. Once he bade farewell to the abandoned disciples from Sword Sect, he summoned his Hoof Shadow and left the mountain resolutely.

Even though Phoenix Sun County was not far, if anything happened, it would not be easy for him to explain things. That was why to prevent accidents from happening, Happy intended to head over earlier. He wanted to see what was going and search for a training spot nearby while he waited.

But he had clearly forgotten something…

Evil cult disciples appeared one after another on his way to Phoenix Sun County.

In the beginning, he only ran into two or three normal Moksha Realm evil cult disciples, but as he drew closer to Phoenix Sun County, their numbers gradually increased.

After being repeatedly attacked, Happy finally arrived outside Phoenix Sun City. The next moment though, a powerful presence surged out from an old man with a hunched back. He suddenly grew larger and cackled loudly. Then, he struck Happy’s steed with an incredibly ruthless palm strike.

“WHINE!”

It was a pity for the Hoof Shadow that had followed Happy for half a year. It had been struck by a huge force, and as it neighed, it fell to the ground with a loud thud.

Happy reacted very quickly. He tapped against the horse’s back resolutely, and the moment his Hoof Shadow was attacked, he jumped away from its back!

At that moment, an astonishing chill traveled down his back!

He did not even need to turn his head around. He could already see a familiar, long, and thin sword shadow—Yang Xuyan!
