“Shen Zhiyi, are you serious?”

Shen Zhiyi snorted and pushed the wheelchair into the bathtub.

After filling the bathtub with water, she began to take off her clothes.

Tang Chen instinctively turned his head away, causing Shen Zhiyi to chuckle playfully as she slowly unbuttoned her underwear.

At this moment, Tang Chen turned his head just in time. What he saw… was a large area of alluring snow-white.

”…”Shen Zhiyi was dumbfounded.

Tang Chen’s sexy Adam’s apple rolled as he calmly admired it.

It was big, white, and pink. It definitely felt good to touch.

After a while, Shen Zhiyi let out a short scream and hurriedly ran into the bathtub. However, because she used too much strength, her ankle twisted and she fell to the ground.

Tang Chen reflexively wanted to stand up and catch her, but he forgot that he couldn’t move. He could only watch her fall completely.

“Tang Chen, why didn’t You Catch Me?”

Shen Zhiyi, who was in pain all over, complained. When she saw Tang Chen’s arm hanging in the air, she immediately reacted. She quickly got up, but because of the pain in her ankle, she fell back again.

Tang Chen pushed the wheelchair and came to her side.

Shen Zhiyi held his hand and stood up with difficulty.

“Sprained your ankle?”

“Yes, it hurts.”

Seeing Shen Zhiyi’s pale face from the pain, Tang Chen lowered his head. His dark hair blocked his gloomy eyes.

He wanted to carry her to apply the medicine, but he couldn’t.

He couldn’t even give her the most basic protection.

“I’ll get the maid to bring the medical kit up.”

Shen Zhiyi didn’t see the self-mocking smile on his lips. She hummed and limped out of the bathroom.

Tang Chen opened the medical kit and applied medicine on her.

As he kneaded, Shen Zhiyi grimaced in pain.

After applying the medicine, Shen Zhiyi wanted to push Tang Chen to take a shower, but she was rejected. “Don’t move. I’ll go by myself.”

“Can you do it?”

The corners of Tang Chen’s mouth twitched, and his heart felt heavy.

In the past, he thought that he was strong enough to protect everyone around him.

Now, even such a small matter would be questioned by others.

Not to mention, that person was the woman he cared about.

After Tang Chen took a shower, he didn’t need Shen Zhiyi to help him. He relied on the strength of his arms to get onto the bed.

He turned off the light. “Go to sleep.”

Shen Zhiyi habitually snuggled into his embrace and closed her eyes in satisfaction. “Good night.”

Tang Chen’s eyes were closed and his breathing was steady, but his brain was abnormally active.

Suddenly, he felt Shen Zhiyi carefully climb out of his arms. She quietly got out of bed and left the bedroom.

After a while, Tang Chen sat in his wheelchair and followed her out. Through the half-open door of the study, he saw Shen Zhiyi reading medical skills.

She muttered to herself, “I’ve improved the treatment plan several times, why is it still not working?”

Outside the door, Tang Chen quietly watched this scene.

Right now, he could only become Shen Zhiyi’s burden.

He had his own pride, and he hoped that his woman would be proud of him and not become a burden to her.

Tang Chen pushed the wheelchair back to his room and went to bed.

It wasn’t until dawn that Shen Zhiyi returned, nestled in her safe embrace and fell asleep.

Tang Chen did not sleep the whole night.

..

In the morning, Shen Zhiyi made a simple western-style breakfast.

Tang Chen took a bite of toast and said casually, “Shen Zhiyi, do you still remember our five-year promise?”

“Yes, why?”

“If I never accepted your love, would you really wait for five years?”

“All my life.”

“No matter what happens during that time?”

“Yes.”
