Survival Records of 3650 days in the Otherworld Chapter 360 – Ancient Site (Chapter 10)

Chapter 360: Ancient Site (10)

It was noisy with all sorts of noise coming from it. Joonbum and Jinpok removed feces and moved it aside while Graham and Garent connected the corridor where the energy flowed. Soon, the ship Menonis began to change. Light began to shine on all sides and the machines began to move.

[Send those machines to that side!]

Ponus ordered and Jinpok and Joonbum moved the requested parts into the location. Soon, parts were collected and repair bots were completed. It was the shape of a giant spider.

[Thank you for your help. Now, we can commence on the repair.]

Machines began to make a move to repair the area.

“What? Is this all?”

Jinpok checked on five robots. Ponus replied.

[You can sit tight and watch while you have popcorn.]

“Where did you learn that?”

As Ponus said, repair bots began to work to increase the number of bots. It was creating a one robot per minute and also cleaned up the area quickly. Soon, hundreds of robots were moving through.

“Are you all done there?”

Garent answered Joonbum’s question.

“Yeah. Robots are working on it now too. I am full.”

Garent spoke satisfyingly and Graham nodded.

“Yes, it was too much. I thought I would die while eating it.”

Graham shook his head. The dragons ate a lot, almost infinite amount, but even to them, the amount of radiation was too much.

“I should call in my people.”

Graham turned to Ponus.

[Are you going to have this place as your lair?]

Graham nodded.

“Can we?”

Ponus nodded and showed another map.

[Dragons need radiation, so I will appoint a place for you to have it as a lair. If you go there, you will have enough radiation as needed. And it will help me as a failsafe.]

“Good. It will speed up our growth.”

Graham nodded.

“What about us?!”

Jinpok shouted with a laugh and Ponus smiled.

[I am preparing various things.]

“Oh? What is that?” Jinpok asked.

[First, Mr. Joonbum has a serious problem in his body.]

“Problem?”

“Is it a disease?”

Everyone became surprised.

[No, not a disease. But his cells are evolving abnormally.]

Joonbum became curious and Ponus continued speaking.

[It seems Mr. Joonbum’s cells began undergoing change after moving through the Gate. First off, the requirement of sleep has been removed from his cells.]

Everyone nodded as they knew very well that Joonbum rarely ever slept.

[It is advantageous as you can work longer and your body also evolve to have stronger physics. But there is a downside to this. Sleep is a must for humans. If it wasn’t, then it should have been removed from the body a long time ago. There is reason why sleeping is required for humans.]

Ponus explained.

[Sleeping resets your consciousness and brain. It solves the overload of your brain and lets you rest. It also affects your mind. I am amazed by how you have lasted this long. It seems a stroke of luck had been on your side until now.]

Everyone became grim. Graham then asked back to Ponus.

“Are you saying that the problem will happen?”

[Yes. It will not happen now, but it is a matter of time.]

“What will happen?” Jinpok asked.

Ponus replied,

[I cannot say it for sure now. He will require further tests.]

“And a way to solve it?” Jinpok asked. Ponus smiled.

[You need to sleep.]

“Ah…”

“Haha! Yes. He needs sleep!”

Everyone nodded and laughed. It was a simple answer. But Joonbum looked awkward. It wasn’t easy for him to sleep.

“Is it possible?” Joonbum asked again and Ponus replied.

[Yes. When we recover our medical facility, you will need simple brain surgery. It is simple surgery that requires nanomachines to work on the neural network to fix your problem.]
