Chapter 86: Test

In the 2 days since Mo Yan and Chen Ya’s argument, rumors were growing like weeds, and they were getting more and more outrageous.

Some said that Mo Yan and Chen Ya were fighting over a man, some said that Zhou Shuai was cheating with Mo Yan was caught by Chen Ya on the spot, some even said that Chen Ya liked Zhou Shuai, Zhou Shuai liked Mo Yan, and then Mo Yan and Chen Ya were having an affair.

Hearing these unbelievable words, Mo Yan was almost scared to the point of fainting. Although she wanted to stir up trouble, she did not expect it to become like this! She and Chen Ya having an affair? They were clearly enemies who could not live under the same sky, alright?

With a dazed expression, Mo Yan stared at the messages that Li Guoguo sent her. Li Guoguo often saw some gossip in their private group.

In this regard, Mo Yan showed that the power of romance gossip was not to be underestimated. No one had talked about her project for the past two days.

And in the past two days, it was unknown if she was frightened by these rumors, but Chen Ya did not come looking for trouble with Mo Yan, allowing Mo Yan to have a good start on her new contract.

This new client was not a difficult person to approach. She gave high praise to Mo Yan’s first version of the proposal. Although there were still some areas that needed to be changed, she still had confidence in Mo Yan.

Just as Mo Yan was about to run to the construction site to take some pictures, CEO Song stopped her.

Sitting in CEO Song’s office again, Mo Yan felt that the tension between her and the woman was still there.

“Mo Yan, I called you here this time because I have something for you to do.”

Song Yun looked at the girl opposite her who was standing straight and was a little hesitant.

She had heard the rumors in the company over the past two days and could roughly guess what she was trying to do.

Moreover, if she were to promote Mo Yan as her assistant according to their previous agreement, it would definitely push her back into the limelight. Therefore, Song Yun could not do that.

Seeing the woman’s serious expression, Mo Yan could not help but sit up straight and said, “Please speak.”

“Mo Yan, you know that our company has always had the intention to branch out in the capital city. It’s just that the time was never right. Now there’s an opportunity to expand the market there. Are you willing to go?”

Song Yun said it gently and gave Mo Yan the option to refuse.

It was also this option that puzzled Mo Yan. Wasn’t the company directly appointing her as a candidate? How could she not go?

“CEO Song, is there any risk in developing the market in the capital city?” Mo Yan asked pointedly.

Since CEO Song allowed her to refuse, she asked.

Song Yun gave Mo Yan a serious look and said, “You’re not the only one going this time. There’s also Chen Ya, who was appointed by the Deputy General Manager. I hope that you can face her head-on.”

Mo Yan frowned and thought, “I see.”

Opening up the market meant competing for customers, and going with Chen Ya meant that she might not only have to face the ostracism of her peers in the capital city, but she also had to guard against being ambushed.

But if she didn’t go..

While Mo Yan was thinking, Song Yun was also observing the person opposite her.

This was a test that she was giving Mo Yan. Mo Yan was still considered a newcomer in the sales industry, and this task should not have been given to her, but she was curious about Mo Yan’s ability and how much protection Qin Yuan would give Mo Yan.

If Mo Yan accepted this test and gained some achievements, even if she failed, she would work hard to train her. But if Mo Yan was unwilling, she would treat her like an ordinary employee who used the back door. As for Qin Yuan, although she accepted his sponsorship, she would not let Qin Yuan become like Chen Ya’s uncle.

Time passed by minute by minute, Song Yun gave Mo Yan enough time to think.

“CEO Song, I want to go,” Mo Yan said firmly.

Suddenly, Mo Yan seemed to have thought of something and continued to add, “CEO Song, I still have a new client in my hands, I’m only halfway through the discussion, this…”

Upon hearing Mo Yan’s reply, Song Yun’s expression slowly turned gentle as she said, “There’s no rush, there’s still some time. You can finish your work first.”

“Yes, okay.”

Mo Yan nodded and prepared to find out more about the real estate situation in Jing City when she was free.

On the corridor back to the office, Mo Yan recalled CEO Song’s attitude. She was almost certain that this was CEO Song’s test for her. CEO Song had never mentioned the previous agreement between the two of them. She must have been troubled by her extremely bad reputation recently.

She could fight with Chen Ya, and it was understandable for her to retaliate. However, what the company wanted was profit. Even if she seized the opportunity to kill Chen Ya in the future, if she was not capable enough, she would still be abandoned by the company.

So, she wanted to use this opportunity to make a comeback, beat down Chen Ya once and for all and show everyone how capable she was.
