Chapter 117: An Unexpected Situation

Chen Ya was surprised by the young master of Lin Group’s words. Then, she noticed that the man kept glancing behind her.

“Haha, you flatter me by saying that.”

Chen Ya originally thought that Lin Group’s young master would chat with her a little longer because of the two beauties, Mo Yan and Xu Tian behind her, and mention the project in passing. She didn’t expect him to look at her with an impatient gaze. She hurriedly said, “Oh right, let’s not talk about me anymore. Young Master Lin, today I specially brought two more capable subordinates to meet you. Please take good care of them.”

Mo Yan stood behind Chen Ya and felt uncomfortable all over. Their conversation made her remember the shadow that Zhou Shuai had left on her.

“They are Xu Tian, Mo Yan, and Xiao Qing from our sales department.”

After Chen Ya introduced them, they each went to shake hands with the young master.

“Haha, your department is really all about girl power! Xu Tian, is it? You are very famous in the real estate industry. You really live up to your reputation today.”

When Xu Tian walked in front of him, the man deliberately took a few more glances and said a meaningful sentence.

“You flatter me, Young Master Lin. I’m just an ordinary salesperson from Hong Jing.”

Mo Yan looked at Xu Tian’s calm expression and could not help but secretly sigh and think about how she still had a lot to learn from sister Xu.

Just as she was deep in thought, the man reached his hand in front of Mo Yan and said with a smile, “Hello, Miss Mo…”

“Hello, Young Master Lin.” Mo Yan also smiled at the man opposite her.

“How old are you this year? You look very young.”

The young master of Lin Group continued to speak to Mo Yan with a smile. However, this question made Mo Yan really annoyed.

Holding back her annoyance, Mo Yan replied, “I’m 21 this year. I only started at Hong Jing not long ago. Please take care of me in the future.”

“Of course.” With that, the young master of Lin Group spoke again, “Miss Mo, to be able to become Supervisor Chen’s subordinate at such a young age, you must really be a rare talent!”

“Thank you for your praise.” Mo Yan smiled very politely, wanting to end the conversation.

Although she knew that she should try her best to get on good terms with this person for the sake of her work, he really did not give her a good impression.

Just as Mo Yan was thinking about how to end the conversation, something happened to Li Guoguo. Mo Yan hurriedly rushed over to Li Guoguo’s side. Xu Tian also apologized to the young master of Lin Group and walked in the direction of the two of them.

“This was the previously mentioned ‘very promising’ newcomer?”

As soon as Mo Yan and Xu Tian left, the young master of Lin Group immediately revealed his true nature. His small eyes stared intently at the backs of the two of them as he said to Chen Ya.

Perhaps it was the man’s sudden change of expression that frightened Chen Ya. After a while, she stammered, “Ah! Yes, it’s her, Young Master Lin.”

Chen Ya carefully and mockingly looked at the man. She saw that the man looked at Mo Yan and Xu Tian with greed and desire in his eyes, as if he was determined to get them. That look made Chen Ya feel goosebumps all over her body, and she did not dare to look at him again. He looked like a wild boar staring at his prey.

Mo Yan rushed to Li Guoguo’s side and only then did she know what had happened.

“Mo Yan, I really didn’t do it on purpose. I accidentally tripped and spilled wine on this young lady,” Li Guoguo stood at the side and sobbed as she said to Mo Yan.

The woman’s gaze towards Li Guoguo was filled with anger as she mocked, “Ha! Didn’t do it on purpose? I think you did it on purpose.”

“I didn’t! Don’t slander me!” Li Guoguo retorted loudly as tears streamed down her face.

Compared to the woman’s overbearing attitude, Li Guoguo was like a small child being bullied.

“The reason why you walked over just now was because Young Master Qin was by my side, right? You wanted to create a fortuitous encounter right? Little girl, you’ve watched too many dramas!”

The woman sneered, causing Li Guoguo’s face to turn pale. She could only continue to deny, “That’s not true. I only came over because I saw that there was a nice little cake here. I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean to dirty your dress.”

Li Guoguo cried as she spoke, as if she was going to faint in the next second.
