She Chose to Be Strong After Her Rebirth and Won Everything Back Chapter 194 – Chapter 194 Lucky

194 Lucky

The village chief’s question quickly turned to Liang Wen’s family.

Before Liang Wen could say anything, Qu Zhi interrupted, “We won’t donate to the Ancestral Hall. We’ll donate it to the village’s primary school.”

…

The village head’s face instantly sank. They were talking nicely, why did she suddenly change the donor? Who was she in this village?

“What do you mean?”

“We think that education is the most important. Instead of donating money to something impractical, we should donate money to primary schools so that primary school students can have more books and a better teaching environment.” These were Qu Zhi’s heartfelt words.

She felt that the Ancestral Hall was a kind of superstition. She was not a superstitious person. Furthermore, Liang Wen wasn’t a stingy person. He donated a huge sum of money in one go. Rather than building an Ancestral Hall, it was better to spend the money more meaningfully.

Of course, there were many parents who attended the gathering. Everyone wanted the best for their children and felt that Qu Zhi’s decision was wise and worthy of support.

The principal of the local primary school had never thought that those naughty children who climbed trees and dug out bird nests every day would have such good fortune. There were actually people who thought of donating to them.

His primary school was indeed not a particularly good primary school. It had been open for many, many years and had not been renovated much. The walls were badly peeled off and there were always a few broken lights.

With such a sum of money, the principal could improve the school.

He had always wanted to build a children’s hall for them to practice musical instruments or something. At the very least, he could build a library for them. A small one would do too. Most importantly, their horizons would not be limited for their entire lives.

This sum of money had unexpectedly fallen on him. The principal looked calm on the surface, but he was overjoyed in his heart.

This group of children was really lucky!

Liang Wen’s mouth was wide open as he looked at Qu Zhi.

She didn’t give him any warning and suddenly made this decision. He couldn’t accept it.

The Ancestral Hall was a very important building in the village, and Liang Wen had seen it since he was young. He knew that repairing the Ancestral Hall was not a small matter, but he suddenly couldn’t refute Qu Zhi’s words.

The principal of the elementary school also stood up. “I think Mrs. Liang’s idea is very reasonable. Rather than building an Ancestral Hall, it was better to spend money on education. Only education is a real investment, only…”

“Is there anyone else who wants to donate?” The village chief was still in a fit of anger. He had been looking forward to getting a large sum of money from Liang Wen’s family, but after Qu Zhi’s words, he wouldn’t be able to get a single cent.

The audience was silent.

Everyone felt that their children’s education was more important. Who would be willing to bet on their children’s future?

“I’ll also donate to the school.” A voice rang out, followed by another voice springing like mushrooms. Those who had donated the Ancestral Hall before all wanted to go back on their word.

The village chief had no other choice. The Ancestral Hall couldn’t be built, but building a new school was enough.

“Thank you. Thank you, everyone.” The white-haired principal took off his hat and bowed to everyone.

The village chief could only grit his teeth and find an excuse for himself. “That’s good. Next year, all our money will be used by the school.”

Qu Zhi felt that his words were strange.

She had already guessed it. Even if he were to build an Ancestral Hall, he would probably take a portion of the money. Now that he had given it all to the school, he had no reason to move it. He felt uncomfortable.

After the dinner ended, Chuchu was already in a deep sleep. Liang Wen picked her up in his down jacket and carried her on his shoulder as he walked back.

“How did you come up with the idea of donating to the school?” Liang Wen suddenly remembered this.

It was strange, but it was intuition.

Now that she thought about it, it seemed like Liang Wen had said it himself in her previous life.

He said that he felt that the Ancestral Hall in the village had cost a lot of money and he had borrowed money from someone because the project hadn’t been paid for properly.

From then on, Qu Zhi had a deep impression of ‘Ancestral Halls’ and other ‘sensitive words’. She wouldn’t let Liang Wen make the same mistake again.

This time, Qu Zhi used her company’s name to donate 10,000 Yuan. Liang Wen also donated 10,000 Yuan.

This money was nothing to the two of them. The important thing was Liang Wen was no longer as prideful as he used to be, spending tens of thousands of yuan easily.

In her heart, she felt that those children who received more education resources were worth more than the so-called Ancestral Hall.
