As Qin Yun was reeling in delight, he heard a voice sound in his head. “Disciple, is this tribulation the last tribulation for Itinerant Immortals?”

Although Numinous Treasure was happy watching Qin Yun successfully transcend the tribulations remotely, he was also afraid, afraid that there would be a thirteenth Itinerant Immortal tribulation.

“Master, this twelfth Itinerant Immortal tribulation was indeed the last tribulation,” replied Qin Yun via voice transmission. “This time, it was an actual test of the Essence Soul, a tribulation that allows for the Essence Soul to metamorphosize. Success leads to an indestructible, immortal Essence Soul.”

“Indestructible Essence Soul? I saw your Essence Soul being split into 129,600 pieces?” Numinous Treasure Dao Ancestor asked out of curiosity. After all, Qin Yun was the first Itinerant Immortal to gain eternal life.

“Yes, Itinerant Immortals cultivate their Essence Souls, and the Essence Soul is different from a physical body.” Qin Yun did not conceal anything from his master. “After cultivating to a realm like mine, the Essence Soul can congregate and disperse, splitting into 129,600 avatars.”

“To have so many avatars, haha. When it comes to the number of avatars one possesses, you are no doubt the greatest in the Three Realms,” said Numinous Treasure Dao Ancestor with a voice transmission.

Qin Yun smiled.

Indeed. Elder Yellowbeard had ten bodies including his main body, but he had 129,600 avatars.

Although he had many avatars, the total amount of Essence Soul powers was limited.

“It’s just that the more avatars, the weaker the Essence Soul will be,” said Qin Yun.

“The Heavenly Dao naturally has restrictions. Still, to have so many avatars, it truly can be called indestructible,” said Numinous Treasure Dao Ancestor.

In Green Touring Palace, Numinous Treasure Dao Ancestor was in an extremely good mood.

The disciple he was most pleased with had succeeded in transcending the tribulations and had gained powerful new means.

“Numinous Treasure, is this the final Itinerant Immortal tribulation?” Grand Supreme Dao Ancestor asked.

“It’s indeed the final one.” Numinous Treasure smiled.

“Congratulations,” said Heavenly Lord of Primordial Beginning with a faint smile.

“Congratulations, Numinous Treasure,” Goddess Nüwa said as well.

“For Qin Yun to succeed, with his abhorrence of evil, it’s truly a good thing for the Three Realms,” said Buddhist Ancestor Gautama with a chuckle.

In the past, there was strife between them. The past war between the Buddhists and Daoists, and the war among the three Daoist lineages were over. Now, their relationships were getting better.

This was because they knew that in the future, they would be forced to leave the Three Realms! One, they needed to combine forces to kill the Fiend Ancestor, and two, they needed to help each other in venturing through the vast Chaos. They naturally needed to be united.

Even more than that, they wished for the Three Realms to be peaceful. However, there were Chaos Godfiends who wished for chaos in the Three Realms, to turn it into a huge hunting ground where they could freely hunt and slaughter. This faction was quite a formidable one, too. However, with the Dao Ancestors and Buddhist Ancestor in the Three Realms, all of them lurked in the background. This included God King Zhurong who remained in hiding after he escaped his imprisonment. In the future, he was bound to appear again.

Qin Yun clearly would stand opposite Zhurong and the other Chaos Godfiends.

…

Qin Yun took a step and returned to Mt. Lightning Roar.

“Dad!”

“Master.”

A large group of people came to welcome him—Qin Yiyi, Meng Huan, Qin Yuluo, Bian Hanyu were all thrilled. They had previously imagined their sky to have fallen, but now, the ‘sky’ remained.

Qin Yun looked at them with a smile as he looked towards his wife, Yi Xiao.

“Brother Yun.” Yi Xiao hugged Qin Yun and whispered, “I was really, really worried for you just now…”

“There’s no need to worry. I’ll be by your side from now on, so much that you’ll find me a bother! It’s because I am now immortal,” said Qin Yun with a voice transmission.

Yi Xiao smiled sweetly.

Qin Yun felt a burden lift off his chest as he felt overjoyed. Although he had made arrangements for his wife and children, as well as the whole Qin family, it was better that he could live on. With him around, no one would dare bare their fangs at Mt. Lightning Roar.

“Congratulations!”

“Congratulations, Senior Brother Qin.”

Yellow-robed Supremacy, Immortal Sa Xu, Ancestral Master Zhang, Ninth Hong, and Eighth Zhu all came over, congratulating him.

“Haha.” Qin Yun laughed as he saw them. “Brother Sa Xu, Old Zhang, Yellow-robed, and Ninth Hong, Eighth Zhu. Long time no see. Today, I succeeded in transcending the tribulations and have gained eternal life. It’s a joyous occasion for me. Today, my Mt. Lightning Roar will have a feast and I’m inviting all of you. You must attend.”

“Brother Qin Yun, how can we not attend the feast to celebrate your gaining of eternal life?” Kong Xuan chuckled as he walked over.

“Congratulations Brother Qin Yun.” Hou Yi cupped his hands.

Ancestral Dragon, Goumang, Suirenshi, Fuxishi, Shennongshi, and Old Mother of Blackfoal Mountain all walked over with smiles. Qin Yun was also a human mighty figure, and the supporting pillar of Green Touring Palace. His attainment of eternal life left many experts rejoicing.

“Don’t leave today. Accompany me in having drinks at my Mt. Lightning Roar,” said Qin Yun with a laugh.

“Yiyi, quickly arrange for the banquet,” instructed Yi Xiao.

“Yes, Mother.” Qin Yiyi immediately flew off to arrange for the banquet in delight.

******

The Grand Supreme sword immortals were watching remotely through a water mirror.

They originally believed that Sword Immortal Qin was dead, but they suddenly saw the points of light turn brighter, eventually turning into gems. The 129,600 gems each turned into miniature Qin Yuns… and eventually fused as one. Later, Qin Yun even began conversing with Hou Yi, Ancestral Dragon, and company…

This left the Grand Supreme sword immortal lineage astounded. Without a doubt, Sword Immortal Qin was still alive!

“Sword Immortal Qin is actually alive?”

“This is the Itinerant Immortal tribulation? Gaining life through death?”

“I wonder if Sword Immortal Qin will still face a thirteenth Itinerant Immortal tribulation.”

The Grand Supreme sword immortals discussed.

“According to the news coming from Mt. Lightning Roar, Sword Immortal Qin has said that he has gained eternal life and will be holding a feast for his guests,” a sword immortal said.

“He said it personally. It’s definitely true then.”

“To think that Itinerant Immortals can gain eternal life as well. That’s right. The Heavenly Dao will always leave a sliver of hope.”

Just as they were sighing in amazement, Yu Gufeng looked up from a corner at the chatting Ancestral Dragon, Hou Yi, and Qin Yun in the water mirror.

“Junior Brother Yu, I heard that Sword Immortal Qin once wanted to take you in as a disciple?” a fellow disciple quipped with a laugh.

Yu Gufeng nodded slightly. “Yes, Senior Qin did think highly of me before. Now that he has successfully transcended the tribulations, it’s truly a joyous matter.”

…

The news of Qin Yun’s successful transcending of the tribulations to gain eternal life quickly spread throughout the Three Realms.

Different experts had different feelings towards it, but all of them knew one point… Sword Immortal Qin was destined to become a steadfast power in the Three Realms! Mt. Lightning Roar would truly become a sacred land in the Three Realms! Previously, people believed that as an Itinerant Immortal, Qin Yun might one day die from his tribulations; therefore, Mt. Lightning Roar always had little influence.

For example…

No mighty figure came to pledge allegiance to it!

Most perfected Great Dao experts had mighty figures as their subordinates. Some pledged allegiance while others became disciples. In the past, despite Qin Yun’s formidable prowess, no mighty figure pledged allegiance to Mt. Lightning Roar. It was simply because they were afraid that once Qin Yun died, they would end up being pursued by the fiends’ revenge. How miserable that would be.

Now that Qin Yun had gained eternal life, everything was different.

…

“Why is this happening?”

In the Tenebrous Fiend Abyss, Fiend Ancestor’s destruction body looked in disbelief at the Heavenly realm’s Mt. Lightning Roar. He watched as Qin Yun and Hou Yi exchanged drinks at the banquet.

Even some time after Qin Yun transcended the tribulations, the Fiend Ancestor was still in disbelief.

“I thought he was dead, but he actually succeeded and gained eternal life?

“Now, my plans really need changing.

“With him alive, when it comes to mighty figures, the Daoists and Buddhists will have a sharp increase in strength. Those ancient existences likely won’t help me easily. Hou Yi isn’t likely to involve himself, right? If he joins forces with Qin Yun, there’s almost no one in a Great World that can fight them.” Fiend Ancestor was frustrated. “So be it. At most, I’ll give up on contending for the Great Worlds.

“After all, most of life in the Three Realms are in the Small Worlds.”

Fiend Ancestor narrowed his eyes. “Qin Yun, I’m indeed impressed with you. In such a despairing situation, you still managed to transcend the tribulations to gain eternal life. Impressive. But ultimately, you are a mighty figure. You won’t be able to enter a Small World or stop me.”
