Chapter 691: Desire

Three divine fruits?

Qin Yun’s heart began racing when he heard of the first divine fruit, the Soul Heart Fruit.

“An opportunity for my transcending of the tribulations is here!” Qin Yun was thrilled. There was only one way to push his strength to the limit—ignite his Essence Soul Dharmic powers! Back when he sparred with Hou Yi, he had to burn his Essence Soul Dharmic powers while casting his Misty Rain Array to withstand Hou Yi’s ninth arrow.

However, the expenditure required to burn his Essence Soul Dharmic powers when withstanding such a terrifying blow was immense.

And the twelfth Itinerant Immortal tribulation was probably much stronger than Hou Yi’s attack. Burning his Dharmic powers would be an even faster expenditure which he was likely unable to maintain for long.

“If I were to obtain a Soul Heart Fruit, I could burn my Essence Soul a second time. If I have a handful of them, I’ll be able to be restored to my peak every time. I’ll be able to go out the same number of times,” thought Qin Yun “My chances of transcending the tribulation would be much greater!”

As for the other two divine fruits, the Chaos Origins Fruit and the Spirit Enlightening Fruit…

Qin Yun only had one thought—they were very helpful to transcending the tribulation as well!

The Chaos Origins Fruit needed little elaboration. It was equivalent to a second life! Although his avatar would still have to endure the tribulations, it was a second life. It could also burn its Essence Soul Dharmic powers to power the Misty Rain Array.

The Spirit Enlightening Fruit would allow experts like Qin Yun to enter an epiphany directly. That made it very magical, for even the mystical items in the Three Realms such as the Myriad Dharma Essence Liquid only supplemented cultivation.

If he were to consume the Spirit Enlightening Fruit and have another rise in realm, his Misty Rain Array’s might would rise as well… That way, the chances of him transcending the tribulation would naturally be greater. Qin Yun knew very well that Hou Yi, Ancestral Dragon, and Amita were all very close to the Heavenly Dao realm, but he was only of average caliber among the perfected Great Dao existences. It was his Intrinsic Connate Cardinal treasure that allowed him to have the strength of a half-step Heavenly Dao existence.

With his realm foundations relatively low, it implied that Qin Yun had a lot of room for improvement.

After he consumed the Spirit Enlightening Fruit, any improvement he had would come much easier than it would to Hou Yi or the Ancestral Dragon.

“All three of the divine fruits are very useful for me.” Qin Yun could not resist the urge.

“These three divine fruits…” Hou Yi, Kong Xuan, and Goumang all had various thoughts about it.

From Hou Yi’s point of view, the three divine fruits were extremely alluring. The Spirit Enlightening Fruit gave him the chance of breaking through to the Heavenly Dao realm. The other two divine fruits were useful for him to be more threatening when fighting his enemies. Something that allowed him to have a powerful avatar was a treasure unheard of in the Three Realms.

Qin Yun and company stared at Palatial Lord Myriad Flower.

He smiled and said, “The mountain valley that grows these three divine fruit is a legend in the spatial tide. Almost every expert is crazy for it. I believe the four of you wish to obtain them as well.”

Qin Yun and company exchanged looks and determined each other’s intentions.

Indeed, all of them wanted the three divine fruits!

As for the threat from Bohan Island?

They were already very confident with their alliance. Having just obtained numerous treasures, and with the help of a half-step Heavenly Dao realm expert in array formations, what would they be afraid of?

“You can lead us in?” inquired Kong Xuan.

“Yes.” Palatial Lord Myriad Flower nodded. “I obtained a memento of the Illusion Fiend Mountain Valley. With this memento, one can enter the mountain valley. I’ve been there once, but I’m unable to crack the mystical array formation within. I can bring you in, and with your companion’s archery skills, he might be able to crack the array formation with overwhelming force.”

“Memento?” Qin Yun and company looked at Palatial Lord Myriad Flower.

“You took all my treasures. Among them is an inconspicuous item. That is the Illusion Fiend Mountain Valley’s memento,” said Palatial Lord Myriad Flower.

Hou Yi and company were enlightened.

If he had not informed them, they would not have identified it.

Soon.

They found the memento which was a aqua blue talisman token.

“I can do my best to bring you there,” said Palatial Lord Myriad Flower, “but you have to guarantee that you will allow me to leave after everything is over. You will also have to return me the Myriad Flower Palace and the Myriad Flower Tree. If I were to travel the Chaos spatial tide empty-handed, I’ll be doomed if I encounter enemies.”

“The Myriad Flower Tree is that branch?” asked Kong Xuan.

“That’s a treasure I have been using all this while,” he replied.

Kong Xuan and company exchanged looks and discussed over voice transmissions.

“We won’t be able to give you the Myriad Flower Tree. If you wish to live, just hide in the Myriad Flower Palace. Why would you need a weapon?” Kong Xuan said. “We can agree to give you the Myriad Flower Palace and allow you to leave safely after everything is over.”

“I need treasures. You need to give me either the Myriad Flower Tree or the Roots of the World,” said Palatial Lord Myriad Flower. “If not, I’d rather not take you there.”

“Hmph, do you really think we need you?”

Kong Xuan scoffed. “Bohan Island Lord’s threat is unpredictable. We were planning to first return to our homeworld first. As for the Illusion Fiend Mountain Valley… we can slowly figure it out with this memento. We can always go in the future. Furthermore, if we were to bring you to our homeworld, there will be Heavenly Dao realm seniors there that could take good care of you and even search your Essence Soul memories.

“Soul searching?” Palatial Lord Myriad Flower’s expression turned nasty. He clenched his teeth and said, “Alright. When the time comes, return me the Myriad Flower Palace and allow me to leave safely.”

All treasures could be abandoned when one’s life was at risk.

Qin Yun and company exchanged looks and smiled.

They were only making empty threats. In fact, searching the soul of a perfected Great Dao existence was very difficult. Perhaps even the Dao Ancestors and Buddhist Ancestor of the Three Realms were incapable of doing so.

“By the way, you mentioned that Bohan Island has an unique tracking method,” asked Qin Yun.

“Yes.”

Palatial Lord Myriad Flower said, “Anyone that is targeted by Bohan Island has no way of escaping the tracking. Even for me, every time I’ve visited Illusion Fiend Mountain Valley after I obtained the memento… I’ve had to return to my homeworld through the Chaos spatial rift, and then enter through another Chaos spatial rift in my homeworld. That is a spot much further than Bohan Island’s sphere of influence. I then secretly head for Illusion Fiend Mountain Valley without alerting Bohan Island.”

“You head there through another spatial rift in your homeworld?” pressed Kong Xuan. “Then, wouldn’t it mean that a great distance needs to be traversed if we set off from here?”

“Yes, but with the silver boat’s speed, we will just need a little more than a hundred years,” said Palatial Lord Myriad Flower.

Kong Xuan, Hou Yi, and Goumang heaved a sigh of relief.

They were not in a rush for time, but Qin Yun was. Furthermore, Qin Yun was the most important person among the four. When faced with all kinds of strange dangers, they required Qin Yun to withstand them. Without Qin Yun, they did not dare risk their lives in the spatial tide.

“It will take about two hundred years for a round trip. There’s plenty of time,” said Qin Yun with a smile.

“Then, shall we go?” Hou Yi asked.

Qin Yun nodded. “The three divine fruits are very helpful to my transcending of the tribulation. As for the splitting of the treasures… We won’t be able to split it like previously.”

The previous allocation had Qin Yun obtaining the corpses of other-universe experts. He did not take a single treasure.

But this time, he needed to have a share of it.

Kong Xuan smiled. “Haha, don’t worry. The mountain valley grows divine fruits. There aren’t any other-universe corpses! The three of us aren’t that shameless to split the treasures and make you take such a risk for nothing.”

“Our trip will involve facing the dangers within the mountain valley and the possible pursuit of Bohan Island,” said Hou Yi. “We will need Brother Qin Yun to help us. As for the treasure allocations… The treasures we obtain will be split into three. Qin Yun and I will each receive one portion. The remaining can be split equally by Kong Xuan and Goumang. How about that?”

Kong Xuan and Goumang exchanged looks and quickly nodded.

The allocation was about the same ratio as before, and they knew very well…

Against ordinary enemies, their presence wasn’t of much importance. Qin Yun and Hou Yi could easily eliminate them together.

But against truly powerful enemies…

The suppression from Kong Xuan’s domain was likely of little use. Against Bohan Island Lord, or someone who was stronger in array formations and domains, Kong Xuan’s only purpose was to provide shock and awe! It would prevent the enemy from using treasures. Perhaps at the Island Lord’s strength… he was confident of using his treasures without having them snatched away?

As for Goumang? His main responsibility was to entangle the enemy. At the critical moment, he would hold the enemy back and even sacrifice himself. It was to ensure that Qin Yun and the other two had a chance to live.

Although their contributions were needed, they were still of a lower precedence.

Qin Yun and Hou Yi were critical!

One was to ensure their safety!

The other was to kill!

“Since we have agreed upon it, let it be so,” said Hou Yi. “As for Bohan Island Lord, we’ll just have a good battle with him if he comes.”

“Let’s not waste any time and set off now,” said Kong Xuan.

“Let’s move out!”

Soon.

Palatial Lord Myriad Flower stored away the entire palace and followed Qin Yun, Hou Yi, and company into the silver boat.

“Head in that direction.” Palatial Lord Myriad Flower pointed. The silver boat immediately rushed forward at a speed tens of times faster than Qin Yun and company’s slow flight. Even so, they still required more than a hundred years to reach the valley—a testimony of its distance.
