“Second Young Master Qin, you sure hid your strength well!” The six-armed demon let out a hoarse voice. From the flying sword that was hovering in front of Qin Yun, it had already guessed that the intelligence that they had received was wrong.

Qin Yun was a lot stronger than what the intelligence depicted.

Qin Yun said nonchalantly, “If you were to know, wouldn’t I be the one suffering under your hands now? Alright, I’m giving you two choices. One, continue resisting and I’ll kill you. Two, honestly tell me… perhaps, I’ll spare your life.”

Spare its life?

The six-armed demon probably wasn’t aware of how he treated fiendish demons.

“Heaven Man Unity’s sword kinesis?” All of a sudden, the six-armed demon bellowed angrily. “Die!” As he roared, the surrounding worldly power reverberated vigorously, isolating the voice completely. No matter how much louder his roars were, they could at best, reach a hundred feet or so. Beyond a hundred feet, not a single sound leaked out.

“It looks like you have partners outside. Are you trying to tell your partner the news about me?” Qin Yun shook his head gently when he saw the attacking demon.

Phew.

The silver flying sword flew out once again. Qin Yun had not used all his strength previously to ensure he kept it alive but this time, he did not hold back. The six-armed demon who had incredible blade arts was able to create an impenetrable defense.

“Phew! Phew! Phew!” The Intrinsic Flying Sword transformed into a stream of light and circled the demon, slashing and slicing at it time and again. The flying sword’s assaults were silent and the sword beams came in contiguous waves. Instantly, it had attacked dozens of times.

“Chi!” The flying sword flashed and sliced off a leg of the six-armed demon. With some whooshing, the demon’s six arms were sliced off as they fell to the ground and remained motionless.

The Misty Rain Sword Intent was adept at defense and resulted in an impenetrable aegis. Similarly, its offense shared the same vibes.

The sword beams connected… one attack after another, leaving no room for a breather. It made it impossible for an enemy to escape.

Of course, there was no need to use any powerful deathblows that were used against Water God on a lesser demon like the six-armed demon.

“Wouldn’t it be better if you had just spoken obediently?” Qin Yun looked at the demon that had its limbs fall to the ground. “Actually, I’m able to guess even if you didn’t say a word. The Nine Mountain Island Lord sent you?”

The six-armed demon’s eyes revealed a look of shock.

“It looks like I guessed right.” Qin Yun smiled.

“Die!” The demon suddenly opened its mouth as black runes began suffusing its forehead.

“Oh?”

A sharp flash appeared in Qin Yun’s eyes.

Boom!

The Intrinsic Flying Sword flew at blazing speed and tore through the air, causing a loud ear-piercing rumble. There were thunderous fires formed as the sword penetrated the demon’s head, boring a huge hole in the ground before it flew back.

The six-armed demon had wanted to make one final strike but the Intrinsic Flying Sword was too fast. It was dead before it could even strike.

“Hmph!” Qin Yun stretched out his arm as the silver flying sword entered his palm and returned to his dantian as a sword ball.

“Another demonic slave.” Qin Yun walked over and carefully examined the two demons. “These two are also demonic slaves. It’s no wonder they aren’t afraid of death.”

“Logically speaking, in the battles between humans and the demons, Nine Mountain Island Lord should be furious over Water God’s death. It is understandable if he sends an assassin. But to send three at once? When did demonic slaves with strength at the Connate realm become so cheap?” Qin Yun thought to himself. Even a powerful demon like Nine Mountain Island Lord would not have easily wasted demonic slaves at the Connate False Core realm.

…

On the streets outside Qin Manor, a customer was constantly listening in on the commotions in Qin Manor on the second floor of a restaurant.

“There’s no commotion. The three High Ambassadors had gained entry a long time ago but they haven’t come out?” The customer muttered to himself. “Strange!”

He waited for quite a while.

Suddenly, he saw an obstreperous convoy arrive at Qin Manor.

The customer instantly saw Wen Chong and Commander Fang among the convoy. “It’s the county governor’s personal guards? Oh no, the mission failed!”

…

In Qin Manor’s backyard.

Palatial Lord Essence Charm, Daoist Red Jade, Yi Xiao, County Governor Wen, and company were looking at the three demon corpses.

“Qin Yin, you have mastered sword kinesis?” Daoist Red Jade said with a smile.

Qin Yun nodded.

Since they were invited here, there was no need to conceal his attainment of Heaven Man Unity.

“I was lucky to make a breakthrough and attain Heaven Man Unity, allowing me to grasp sword kinesis.” Qin Yun said, “Thankfully, I have Heaven Man Unity or I would not have detected the three demons that had infiltrated Qin Manor under an invisibility spell! I tried but also unintentionally managed to sneak an attack with my flying sword, killing this demon that should be proficient at venomous arts. Then, I battled this scorpion demon that was good at melee combat. It was this six-armed demon that took me quite a bit of effort.”

Palatial Lord Essence Charm took a look and said solemnly, “It was quite perilous. Such a venomous demon is a Green-furred Heart-dismembering Worm. It can emit venomous gases and release many venomous worms. Once it releases its venom, many people in your Qin family would have died.

Qin Yun also felt a lingering fear.

Thankfully, he had been in the manor today.

“Looking at these three demons,” Daoist Red Jade remarked. “They must be peak Postnatal realm demons. After being refined into demonic slaves, their strength increased, allowing them the strength to battle against someone at the Connate realm! However, refining such slaves are easy. The six-armed demon is good at melee combat and the venomous scorpion is adept at assassination. The other venomous demon is great at releasing venom… These are demonic slaves with formidable means. If it’s only to vent his anger, he would not have sent such powerful demonic slaves.”

Such venomous demonic slaves were very rare.

“They are all demonic slaves and I failed to obtain anything from an interrogation. However, from the reactions of the demonic slaves, it’s very likely to be Nine Mountain Island Lord,” commented Qin Yun.

“Only Nine Mountain Island Lord will have the thoughts of seeking revenge and have the strength to do so.” Palatial Lord Essence Charm said, “However, to send three demonic slaves at once shows how fond he is of Water God. It might have failed this time but there might be a second time. Red Jade, stay in Qin Manor temporarily while we remain in Grand Dominance County.”

Daoist Red Jade glanced at Palatial Lord Essence Charm. “Old Man Essence Charm, you sure are practiced at appointing me.”

“Qin Yun, I’ll be staying in Qin Manor and I expect good food and drink. If not, I might just leave at any time.” Daoist Red Jade said with a laugh.

“Definitely,” said Qin Yun immediately.

With a peak Connate True Core realm cultivator watching over the manor, it was naturally a good thing. He did not dare guarantee of ensuring a flawless defense.

“Lord County Governor,” said Qin Yun. “Please do not leak news of me being capable of using sword kinesis after mastering Heaven Man Unity. I’m afraid of Nine Mountain Island Lord’s formidable network. He might have some ties in the imperial government.”

“I just came. I didn’t hear what you just said.” County Governor Wen said with a smile.

“I would not say a word either.” Daoist Red Jade laughed as well. As an itinerant cultivator, she did not need to report to anybody.

…

After dealing with the demonic slave corpses, Qin Yun and Yi Xiao went alone to a corner.

“Yi Xiao, Nine Mountain Island Lord has taken action against me. It’s possible he would do something to you too. You have to be careful,” said Qin Yun.

“You don’t have to be worried about me. I’m living in County Governor Manor at present. With Senior Essence Charm there, I will definitely be fine.” Yi Xiao whispered, “It’s also because of my request of you killing Water God that this thing happened. It’s so common for there to be death between humans and demons. I never expected Nine Mountain Island Lord to be so enraged.”

Qin Yun laughed. “They are unwilling to send powerful demons to deal with me. After all, Senior Essence Charm and Senior Red Jade are here. As for the weaker fiendish demons… they will only be sending themselves to their deaths as you already know.”

Yi Xiao nodded slightly. She obviously understood Qin Yun’s strength.

Late that night, news reached Nine Mountain Island.

Azure Ox frowned when he received the news. Although he kept a low profile, he enjoyed a status only second to the Island Lord on Nine Mountain Island. It was not only because he was the eldest disciple but because he had the greatest strength among all the fiendish demons! Azure Ox’s strength was something well known throughout the entire Jiang Prefecture. He had once managed to escape from a clash with a human Connate Golden Core realm expert.

He kept a low profile and had somewhat high intelligence. The Nine Mountain Island Lord also trusted him greatly.

“It actually failed?” Azure Ox continued frowning. “Three demonic slaves entered Qin Manor and without letting out any information, they perished without a trace?”
